Good morning everyone.
Its wet here but clearing up.
I'm feeling slightly better again. Had some cereal and a sandwich yesterday. That's going to help.
Hubby had a very disturbed night. He was up and down like the proverbial yoyo going to the loo, getting back in bed and going again ... and again .... I don't want to stop him in case he does need to go. Then he saw a lady standing outside our bedroom door and asked who she was ...... then after one of his trips to the loo he came round and woke me up (I was already awake but pretending!!) and asked if we were staying here for the night. I just mumble you are having a dream and get back into bed.
A quiet day on the cards. I might need some shopping I might not ... definitely don't fancy getting dressed and trying. I found some frozen peas that were delivered last Thursday in the fridge as well as some cheese that should be in the fridge in the freezer. (Not to mention freezer bags in the fridge too). What else I will discover I don't know.

Good morning ladies.
I slipped on the side path yesterday as it never gets sun and is always slimey, even tho I treat it once a fortnight to kill the agae. I landed flat on my back and broke my fall by my right wrist. So I had to arrange a lift to Treliske hospital for xrays as the doctor when I rang said it was best not to leave it. So got to Treliske about 7pm. Waited about an hour then saw the Triage nurse who took down the details and told me to wait again for xrays. AFter about 3/4 of an hour I went through for my xrays. 2 of them. And about half an hour or so after that was called back in to see a doctor. Who then twisted and bent my wrist which was extremely painful. He said I've torn the tendons both sides of the wrist and told me to take paracetomol and it should heal in a couple of weeks. He didnt give me a wrist support and I asked if I should put the crepe bandage back on that I'd put on at home and he said no. But to be honest when I got home I had to put it back on as the slightest movement was agony especially his examination.
Surprisngly I slept well and it doesnt hurt quite so much but as the day's progressing so is the pain. But I"m so glad nothings broken. I managed to email the housing assoc this morning to tell them and ask if it was possible to have those particular slabs replaced with gravel as this isnt the first time I've slipped over on that bit of path so hopefully they will agree and come and do the work. I don't see why I should pay for it and I would have to ask their permission first anyway. Thankfully my back and hip seem ok today.
Grey and miserable here today, I'll be taking it easy all day and trying to rest this wrist.

Your blueberry may have died as they need acid soil, so planting in a container is best if your soil isnt acid, with ericaceous compost with some coir or bark chips mixed in to lighten the soil.

Oh no Hazel. Thank heavens it wasn't worse. Is it your dominant hand?? It will be a struggle until it heals. Sounds like you were in and out reasonably quickly at Treliske.

Yes Diane, I'm right handed. I was very impressed with Treliske and the speed they dealt with me. There weren't that many people in the waiting room either. Nothing like you're led to believe on the radio and tv.
I thought I'd make a stew that would last me a couple of days as I've only got one good hand, it took me an hour to cut up all the veg lol The next problem will be trying to eat it with my left hand.

Good morning all crisp dry day so far. We're loading up the car today with the things we need for summer. Plus a large pile of unwanted items to the charity shop. We're going down to the caravan with all the summer clothes and bedding etc that I have washed and packed. Hopefully we will get to use them in the summer. have a good day all. We're having a pre booked lunch at the flats today, hopefully no one will have the virus.

Good morning everyone.
Its dry here but cloudy.
I've just got up. Had a really good night last night.
Was still thinking about heading to Aldi for a wander round hanging onto the trolley to pick up the few bits we need. Might get dressed and change my mind though.
Hubby is joining me in the sluggish race. Gets harder to gee him up without appearing to gee him up. When I dash about he doesn't join me then!!

By the time we loaded the car it was time to go for lunch at the flats. The chip shop did us proud - my chciken was gorgeous. After the meal we were stuffed so sat around talking as you do. We're going down to the charity shop and the caravan tomorrow. We'll have a lunch at Splits no doubt. My sewing room has space now.

Good Morning all after a really good night's sleep my day has gone pear shaped. My coffee machine is demanding a descale so no hot coffee. I emptied the kettle boiler last night to descale it, so no hot drink until the water boils. My back isn't good I spent three hours sleeping without moving, so sitting here with two hot wheat bags. Gordon has just rung and he's running late also. Have a good day all.

Good morning everyone.
Its looks dry outside but cloudy.
I'm going to be having a crochet day, hopefully. Scrubbed the show. I am slowly feeling better each day that goes by.
Nice to be making plans to get down to the caravan for the summer Annie

Good morning ladies. My wrist seems a little better today thank goodness. Not enough to use it properly though.
Thank goodness Pippa didnt have a clot Starry. But another thing to cope with in her pregnancy poor love.
Carol my coffee machine's had the red light on for a descale for 2yrs, you can still use it. My friend Angela in St Austell, her red light has been on for about 5yrs, it doesnt stop you using the machine. Mind you we don't have chalky water down here, but I think that descale thing comes on automatically on the coffee machines after so many times its used. Just ignore it. If the water doesnt come out properly into the mug thats when it really needs a descale.
I'm not doing much again today. Lots of people have said things are either out of stock or rationed in the supermarkets now. My next shop is next Thursday. I've bought a small chest freezer to put th stuff out of my fridge freezer into as it's not really big enough and everything's packed in too tightly so the air can't circulate. When I ordered it from AO they said everyone's been panic buying the small freezers, but luckily they had one for me. It's only 98L. Thats all I wanted, as in the summer I can freeze a lot of my fruit from the garden too. AO were very good, I got free delivery and £15 off the cost of the freezer. It's black so will fit in nicely in the kitchen. It's due to arrive next Wednesday, the earliest they could deliver. So now I'm wondering if I'll get the frozen fruit and veg I've got on my asda order for Thursday.
I'm glad I bought my xtra toilet rolls and pet food etc a few weeks ago, because i could see the panic buying coming long before it did. I dont think people who live in the country or live alone are panic buying they're just making sure they will be ok until the virus dies down a bit.
