Good Morning all. A really lovely sunny day here. It's going to be a high pollen count today so I will be staying indoors, breathing not too good today. It's just hayfever so no worries. Had a bit of excitement yesterday. My neighbour's daughter delivered her mum's shopping so managed to have a short chat. Maintaining social distance of course. Have a good day all and stay safe,x

Good morning all I feel a littel better today. I had to phone 111 yesterday, they sent a prescription out which my nxt door neighbour collected for me, tablets to put under my tongue to stop the nausea. The doc who I spoke to at 111 said to phone my GP on Monday unless it got worse then ring 111 or 999. Thing is if I did need to go to hospital Treliske has stopped all A&E except virus so the nearest hosptial would be Camborne way down West. So hopefully it won't come to that.
Beautiful day here today but can hear the hum of traffic on the A30 so there's still people coming down here. I read on Cornwall Live website that a lot of second home owners and holiday makers are coming down at night so they won't get caught. pffft....
What the Police need to do is set up a road block at Exeter, and 2 for Cornwall at Gunnislake and the Tamar Bridge.
I also read this morning that over 3,000 were in the London parks and the police had to send them packing but they returned shortly after when the police had left. What's wrong with these people? And another family had to be told to go home because they had all congregated in one house for an 18th birthday party.
No wonder there's so many cases of this virus when people are so irresponsible. I'm afraid I class them as murderers and they should be fined heavily and charged with attempted manslaughter but of course the courts couldn't cope with that, so instead of prison fine the b*****ds over £1,000 and if they dont have the money sieze goods to the value. That would soon stop some of them. Although the brazen ones wouldn't care less.
Enjoy your day everyone. xxx

Glad you got sorted Hazel. Hope you continue to feel better. I thought that if we needed to go to hospital for something other than the virus then it’s a hell of a long way to go
There is an email to report folks who are holidaying and the council will check and turn them out

Oh where do you see the email Diane? Its about time people were sent home. Pity they don't turf Gordon Ramsey out of his two holiday homes down here. pffft

This is the info Hazel
From Cornwall Council
We have received complaints alleging that some holiday accommodation providers are still trading as normal and operating illegally.
We are now writing to all holiday accommodation owners, letting agents and online booking platforms in Cornwall who are not exempt to the COVID-19 orders to ask for their cooperation in complying with the orders and help protect the health of our population, NHS and other critical services at this time.
If you believe that holiday accommodation might not be complying with the new regulations then please contact businessadvice@cornwall.gov.uk

... and an update Here’s an update on what CORNWALL Council are doing about Holiday Let’s. You can copy and share as you wish.Report any you suspect may still be taking bookingsusing email address
businessadvice@cornwallcouncil.gov.ukA couple of weeks ago the Government gave instructions to Hotels, B&B’s, Guest Houses and Campsites to close. But they weren’t clear on Self Catering accommodation such as Airbnb and Holiday Cottages. We pushed this back to Government and on Wednesday evening we got the clarity we needed. They must close as well.We put together an Enforcement Team, Cornwall Council staff who usually do other jobs, all redeployed and willingly taking on the challenge. We created a dedicated email address for people to make reports of Holiday Accommodation operating. It’s - businessadvice@cornwall.gov.ukWe started publicising it on Friday.190 complaints received from the public by 5 on Saturday evening, and many more still coming in today, regarding businesses (primarily accommodation) that should be closed
Every complaint is being investigated by our staff who are working over the weekendIn the first instance our Public Protection team will phone the business reported to establish the facts and where possible resolve the issue. This is followed up with an email. If we don’t hear from the business we are contacting them again.
Follow up visits will ONLY be made where businesses fail to close or we need to obtain more evidence. We will not be attending premises unless absolutely necessary, to avoid travel and unnecessary contact.A large proportion of the complaints we have received relate to Airbnb properties - many of which were addressed on Friday evening
One complaint was regarding accommodation for key workersA number of premises we have contacted have advised us that they are sending their guests homeFollowing a report from a Cottage owner a guest was contacted this morning who was refusing to leave and was advised to return home.
Several premises have confirmed that they are closed, including a campsite which was called this afternoonBut please, when you’re making a complaint a number of the complaints received have been a little vague, which then involves a significant amount of more work to try and establish the facts - so we ask that if you can let us know of any accommodation that is being used which should be closed, please give as much information as possible including a precise address, the name of the accommodation/ or owner and if you can a telephone number or email address if you know itWe will continue to follow up all complaints and we will ensure no businesses are operating that should not be, to protect our communities and protect our NHS resourcesWe are working in conjunction with Devon and Cornwall Police will only request Police support if unequivocally and unfortunately necessary.Unfortunately Second Homes are not included, although the Government has said that journeys
to second homes are not necessary journeys’. Devon and Cornwall Police are dealing with that end.Next week is a big week for Cornwall.

Starry, Happy Birthday to Paul from Gordon and I. Hope he enjoyed his Birthday cake.
It's been a funny old day here rained all night, was overcast first thing, then it brightened up and it's been a nice afternoon. I did a few chores and another load of washing and drying. Got the final load of washing on now. Gordon put a load of rubbish in our incinerator and had a burnup. Typically the wind changed direction every few minutes, so now we both reek of smoke. Apart from that, it was good to be outside. Gordon says the weather is going to be getting warmer so perhaps we will be outside a bit more. The lovely Sally delivered our weekly shopping. There was only one thing she wasn't able to get. All going well it will be a regular Monday afternoon thing. It's a big relief not to have to worry.

Good morning everyone.
Another lovely day out there.
Shall we go for a walk or work on tidying the hedge???
I'm in a bit of a panic because my email from Sainsburys allowing me to book my online delivery slot hasn't arrived ... and of course I can't get a slot anywhere. Just as I was beginning to relax and think this was the new normal it falls down
It must be horrible for Pippa when she will be wanting her Mum close by
