Re: Good Morning

Good afternoon all.  It's been raining most of the day here. I had my long hair cut and a perm yesterday.  Got to keep my hair dry for the next 5 days. Had to wear a hood today which flattened it.  Took Brodie to the vet for his annual innoculations and for Cara to examine him as he has developed a cough and I feared he might have Westie Lung Disease. His lungs were good for an almost 13 year old She was of the opinion that practically all elderly westies have a touch of it. She didn't consider an xray was necessary  and at the moment she didn't think treatment was needed either.   I've got to keep an eye on him if it gets worse she will see him again.  . We took him home and then went to a fish and chip lunch at the flats.  Every one had fish and chips except us I had chicken breast, Gordon had sausages and we shared pineapple fritters, garlic mushroom and mushy peas. It was beautifully cooked. No cooking tonight for either of us.

Re: Good Morning

Good morning everyone. It was lovely and sunny when we first woke up then next glance out of the window showed it was raining. Strange day. We were supposed to be going to Eden Project so Maya and Lola could go ice skating but its mid day and I'm still sitting here after rushing round getting picnic ready.  Who knows what's going on. Not me for sure. Trying to get hubby warmly dressed ready to sit in the cold but he is resisting ... so I'm throwing my hands up and letting everyone do what they want and I'm spending some me time on the computer!!

Re: Good Morning

Good evening everyone.

Well I'm home from the craft fair, I was worn out after putting all the tables up and in their positions and it took over an hour to set up my stall with all the fairies, but it did look fabulous and every commented on it. But we didnt get the people through the door. There was a bit of a flurry first thing after opening at midday then it went dead as a dodo.  I felt sorry for Father Christmas, the Lions did such a good job of the grotto and Santa was fab but he only saw about 4 kids all day.

I sold one fairy and 3 small fairy charms. So only took just under £16 all day. Tomorrow I have to go to someone elses craft fair so I haven't had to unload the car. But there's a mega storm forecast for tonight and tomorrow, so I wish really I wasn't going to that one. It's supposed to be cold in the old hall building so it'll be miserable there all day and I doubt anyone will venture out with the storm.

It's really disheartening not to sell anything. I can't understand it. The Lions lady said Roche is a weird place and there's no comnunity spirit in the village anymore, and no-one gets any support. She was saying when they do the sleigh around all the villages hardly anyone comes out to see them. What a sad and sorry state our country has come to.

I won't be doing the quarterly fair next year, and I doubt I'll go to any other craft fairs either. It's not worth all the stress and hard work. It's so soul destroying.

Re: Good Morning

. Evening all.We went down to check the caravan and thankfully all was well.  The van has been drained down. The guy doing the anti freeze in loos, cisterns and  traps has done a wonderfull job. Talk about true blue!  It definitely wont freeze.   We took down all the clean bedding and towels etc so that's another job  done.  The grass hasn't grown so hopefully will last until spring. So far there is no moisture in any of the moisture traps. Then went out for lunch , had a beautifull roast. We've been invited to their Christmas Dinner party. They close the shop down so it's by invite only. All the tables together and we all sit down to a very special "family" dinner. Looking forward to it.

Re: Good Morning

Good morning everyone. Just had a very heavy shower and the clouds were dark, but its passing over                           already. A quiet day on the cards and some crochet for me. Should be doing other things.

Re: Good Morning

Good morning everyone. Its dry here and the main wind seems to have passed us by. Another helping is on its way later. I've ducked out of weigh in again today and not sure whether to go to short mat bowls. I'll wait and see the reports of the road around and see.

Hope you have recovered from Saturday Hazel

Re: Good Morning

Hello everyone. A very damp, miserable day here today, but not actually as bad as forecast I don't think. I caught the early bus into Truro for my facial and back massage and had a lovely one. Then wondered whether to nip round the shops or not ... not won and I couldn't get a table in Wetherspoons for a swift drink so resorted to Subway. Then bus home again. I got off in the centre of town, paid the papers and caught a taxi back. Wasn't going to get wet and cold.  I've done another online shop for Thursday with Sainsburys and hoping I've got everything I wanted. Different routine to get into completely. But at least if I need something if I realise I can add it to the shop, or pick up the odd thing if necessary.

Re: Good Morning

Just lost my post  Haven't been in for a couple of days not been feeling too good, very tired and keep nodding off. Had to go out today for a review of my eyes.  All OK and have been discharged. Parking was a nightmare at the hospital. You have to drive to get there and it's a fairly small car park. Had quite a long walk from the car so we were both very  cold.  Fortunately hot drinks are free, my hot chocolate was very warming. Got an ASDA delivey tomorrow evening got the last £1 slot. No idea where it is all going to go.
