Good morning everyone. Its dry here and the sun is trying to peep out. I just want to prepare the turkey and get today and maybe make some mince pie things .. forgotten what they are called. Pastry base (ready rolled pastry) teaspoonful custard and one of mincemeat. A tasty change. Hope your preparations are going on easily and smoothly.

I wish!
Yesterday Asda brought my xmas order at 9am. The fresh turkey was the size of a budgie, they subbed my xmas pud for a chocolate yule log even though I'd arleady ordered a choc yule log, the gin and gingerbread roulade never arrived, but I got another chocolate yulelog. The mince pies they only sent 1 box of the 2 I ordered and subbed the other box for some of asda's own, yuk! And the sausage rolls were subbed for those ready made ones in a pack of 10 ready to eat. Well I got refunds for all the subs, but as it was short notice kept the budgie. Then stressed out over the turkey being so small, it really was only 2kg in weight and had giblets so once they came out it would probably weight about 1kg. I went up the co op and bought a gammon and cooked that in the slow cooker. Still stressed over the budgie so rang Asda to complain and ended up going down to the Bodmin Asda at 2am this morning as the manager said they'd give me a nother turkey, not a fresh one sadly but a frozen one, it was the weight the fresh one should have been, they also gave me a coffee to take away and paid my petrol so that was good. Got home and put the fresh budgie in the freezer and left the frozen one out on the worktop to defrost. It's been there all day and now has defrosted enough to go back in the fridge. So I didnt actually get to bed this morning til gone 4am.
Up again at 8am to do the housework.
Then this afternoon while cooking the pigs in blankets and other bits I thought I'd switch the fibre optic tree on, it looks nice decorated but wanted to feel a bit more chrismussy, plugged it in and the bulb blew. pffft.
Drove back to Bodmin Homebase this time for a replacement bulb and they didnt have that type in stock, so ended up buying a temporary green 2ft 6ins xmas tree, reduced from £15 to £2, and white fairy lights reduced from £12.99 to £1. Also got a star for the top.
Then had to decorate that when I got home.
I'll get a bulb for the fibre one after xmas so I can use it next xmas, as its much nicer than this new one.
Don't feel tired yet, but probably will do tomorrow. It usually hits me the day after.
So will wish you all a very merry Christmas and hope you have a super day all of you. xxxx

I wont accept subs as I never like their choice I'd rather go without.

Good morning everyone. Very wet and windy here today. Dark as well. Paul, Maya and Lola are coming over for the day so rushing round getting stuff sorted.

Good Morning all. Wild and windy here. A day for staying in with a roaring log fire and toasted crumpets. Had a terrible night, cramp all up my leg and into the groin very painful. Had to get up and heat a wheat bag. It seemed toi take for ever and I ended up in tears swearing like a trooper. Today the area is very tender, just hope it doesn't come back. have a good day all.

Evening all. George came over again today so it was nice to have company. I'm glad Christmas is over for another year though.
Glad to read you all had a good Christmas. x

Good morning everyone. Its very damp and murky out there. I'm running out of milk so will need to do a bit of a food shop, and some washing and that will be it for the day. We had a lovely day yesterday. Hubby wasn't too bad and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. Was shattered and had an early night.
