Afternoon all, been a hectic day here today.
Carol here's the link to the liteweight masks. I did send pics in reply to your email x
Super hot here today, just put a solar fountain in the little pond to help with the oxygen as there's baby fish in there now. I say baby, they're about 2" to 3" long, goodness knows how many tiny baby fish are in the big pond it's too deep to see them.
I'm really pleased with the fountain. A friend in York bought one for her small pond and recommended it. It's 5.5w with a big solar panel and it has a backup rechargable battery. The ponds look a bit ugly this time of year as the perennials haven't grown up and covered the edges.
Right off to do some more work, hope you're all having a lovely day.
Stay safe

We had a discharge meeting last week and they all put their reports in what they'd found - all as expected. They said even with a good care package in place it wouldn't be enough to be able to look after hubby at home as he needs 24 hour car and they recommended a nursing home. So now they are looking for a place

Good Afternoon all, a lovely sunny day here but cold. Going to get colder and then start warming up for next weekend. We've had a nice healthy salad for lunch and have now opened our Easter eggs. It's a real treat for me as I don't normally eat chocolate. Gordon is happy he loves chocolate.
Diane, so pleased you've got your letter, it's a big relief off of your mind, but at the same time very sad. I know that when I signed the paperwork for my Mother, I felt so guilty. I had nothing to feel guilty about, having helped look after her for many years.
Hazel, your garden is lovely, and so it should be you work very hard in it.
Starry enjoy your lunch with your Mum. Have a good day all.

Good afternoon all, it's a bright sunny day here, with a bitter wind. Thankfully if there was any snow it missed us. Sally has done my shopping, and I've sterilised it all, and my back is letting me know that sitting down on my percher, lifting heavy things and twisting to put it on the clean worktop is not a good idea. We'll have lunch while it dries off, and Gordon will put it away for me. I've got to move the car as my neighbour is having work done, and then I will be able to relax and take it easy. Gordon is cooking tonight. Have a good day all.

Good morning everyone.
Its bright here now but the ground is very wet so we've obviously had some rain.
That's Easter done and dusted. I wonder what next Easter will be like?

Good afternoon ladies
I wrote a long interesting post this morning but I see it's disappeared. I must have forgotten to click on Submit. pffft....
Briefly, I am planting 9 of my 18 Queen Elizabeth roses today along the front boundary between me and next door. The other 9 will be here later this week. My 20kg sack of bonemeal isn't now coming until tomorrow so I've had to dash to Homebase to buy some, only 10kg. I like to put a cupful in with the plants when I plant them to help them set new roots. I'll soon use the bonemeal up I can dig it in around everything. I washed the car in Bodmin, the 2 covered booths were occupied so went into the open air one, and it poured down with rain halfway through. I got soaked. Had to continue with the wash, but when I got home the back and front of the car is mucky and so is the offside. What a waste. Still I can do my car for £2 as it's so small, The big cactus used to be £4. When I got home the sky is blue and it's sunny. We never seem to get the bad weather that Bodmin gets for some reason.
Enjoy your relaxing day Starry, stay safe ladies!

I've had a very upsetting day today. When I got up and came into the kitchen Gizmo was laid on the floor and couldn't get up, eventually he managed to get to his feet after about half an hour but then laid down again immediately. He had his breakfast lying down and then managed to hobble out to the garden to toilet. I thought this is it his time has come. So rang Fiona my vet who told me to take him up at 11.30pm to do the deed. Just before I left to take him he rallied round. Still hobbling badly but more alert. I still took him and Fiona examined him and said 'do you want to give him a reprieve?' She thinks he may have had a small TIA and suggested I took him home for 24/48hrs to see how he gets on. And he's not been too bad since then, she did say be prepared as he may be gone in a day or it could be weeks. So he's got a reprieve. He can't have any more steroids than hes on already as he's on the maximum dose. So it is just a matter of time now. We didnt think he'd be around at Xmas but he was. He's a tough little cookie.
So after that upset I've not really been in the right frame of mind to do much.
My eyes are all swollen from crying and tomorrow I have to go to hospital for my 2yearly eye examination for glaucoma and high pressure. Hopefully they'll have got back to normal by tomorrow afternoon when I have to go.
