Good morning all, up with the lark today as BT engineer is coming to connect my full fibre between 8 and 1pm.
Can't see what it's like yet as it's not light properly LOL
Sorry to hear you've got Diabetes T2. It's easy enough to reverse, just cut out carbs or limit them to under 100gm a day. Thats how I did mine. But I was naughty just before and after Christmas so my last HBA1c test was up to 50, which is borderline, so I am back on the low carbs again to bring it back down to 46 which I was before.
Dani how come they've whacked you straight onto meds for the blood sugar? They usually tell you down here to try the diet way first and if that doesnt work then put you on meds a few months later. What were your readings? They all vary these doctors, George is T2 and he's been on meds for years to control his, and he's now on a new drug which is a weekly injection and he says is much better, he's even lost tons of weight on it too. I could do with that LOL Some surgeries still use old methods and old readings, some are up to date and others are a mix of the two. No wonder people don't know what to do to control their glucose levels.
My BP is now averaging around 119/66 so not sure if it's the tablets kicked in or just me. It was low yesterday as well, so I'll see what it's like over the w/end. I see the doctor on Monday.
Right I'm off to feed the dogs, they can't understand why I'm up so early today, they're usually fast asleep still at this time. Enjoy your day folks.

Good Morning all. Cold and damp here. Gordon is coming over today to finish sealing the drafts around the pipes in the bathroom. It was a lot warmer last night already. Hope the installation goes well Hazel. Have a good day all.

Hello everyone.
Went out today for a jaunt on the bus. Haven't done that for a while, together. Had a mooch round the shops. Spent some money!! Had a nice lunch and caught the bus home again. Really enjoyed getting out.
The weather has been very gloomy but dry.

Good morning everyone.
Its very dark and misty here but doesn't seem to be raining at the moment.
A nice quiet day on the cards. Some crocheting is beckoning.
I've read a few comments about patterns not being correct. It does seem bad when you pay money ... get the yarn and get going. Not good enough. Even large companies seem to be guilty too.

Afternoon everyone.
I was up with the larks this morning as I'd promised a month ago to tak a neighbour for a ct scan. I didnt feel like going but I couldnt let him down. So was in Truro hospital at 8.15am. What a baby he was, he had to come out and sit in the waiting room bcause they couldnt find a vein, and he was making such a fuss about having an injection. Eventually they called him back in and a senior nurse came to put the canula in. He was grateful I'd gone with him though bless him.
Back home by 10.30 and had some lunch and now going to do some housework. Had the result of my mammogram, all clear thank goodness, that was playing on my mind as i'd had a very painful breast before I had the mammo done and wondered if that would affect the reading, but obviously it hadn't.
The installation of the broadband went ok. I dont notice much difference to be honest, but it must be, my old adsl broadband was 19mbps and this new full fibre is 150mbps. I suppose I'll notice it more if I watch catchup tv or prime videos maybe. The pages do seem to load a bit faster.
Misty old day here and not very warm, so maybe i wont do the housework, I might snuggle under a throw and doze off this afternoon instead lol

Evening all. Up early as we were going down to check the caravan. We haven't been since the end of October. When we arrived and went in it was so neat and tidy and clean. All appeared well, had to refill the dehumidifiers. We poured the salt water on the weeds that had appeared so dual purpose. Took several boxes down to the charity shop. Had a lovely lunch in Splits and caught up with a few of the regulars. It was nice to see them all. I've very tired now so will be putting my feet up all evening might even dose off.

Good morning folks, same here, wet and breezy! Heard on Radio Cornwall this morning we have snow forecast for next week when the big snow storm hits the UK from th US, most of it will be up north but there is a good risk Cornwall will get some too. That'll be fun, the country will grind to a halt as usual
Asda's bringing my shop this afternoon, I've ordered some belly pork rashers and will have a couple for my sunday lunch at 5pm. Its really nice and not too fatty, but plenty of flavour. I don't eat any red meat during the week and most weekends, so it makes a change now and again. I eat mostly chicken when I do have meat.
Did some speed tests on my broadband last night and I'm getting about 159mbs which is brill. My BP is hovering around 110 and 130 now which I think is normal. I see the doc tomorrow about my breathing, so will take my bp readings with me for him to check.
I bought one of those fitness watches last week from Amazon, everyone seems to have them these days. I want to become less sedentary and hopefully less breathless and improve my hip pain when I walk. The neighbour I took to the hospital yesterday wears one, he has had his for about a year and swears by it. He said his was about £50. It's almost the same as mine, I think they're all made at the same place in China, but I only paid £11 for mine and mine does more like BP and heart beat, steps, calories, time, distance and lets you know if you've got any messages or calls. He couldn't believe mine was only £11.

Hello everyone.
An early start to catch the bus to weigh in ... then back, quick lunch and out again to Short Mat Bowls. Someone there said they would pick us up and were quite upset when we went by taxi. I was worried about putting them out but they said they didn't mind, so they collected us today, which was very kind.
I kept dry going to weigh in as it just started raining heavily when I was a few steps away from the door, luckily. Then when we left bowls the heavens opened and it lashed down with heavy hail as well. So I've done well today to keep dry.

Evening all not too good today, somewhat breathless even more so after I got the wheelie bin down the drive. Thankfully I didn't panic and it did get slowly better. Did a mountain of washing up after cooking last night only a sausage casserole which we both enjoyed in my new RH sear and stew. Metal bowl and very light could lift it with ease. I've also discovered plastic liners saves a lot of time cleaning. Pottered gently and taken lots of sit downs when needed.
