Good morning everyone.
Its dry here and was looking quite pleasant but the cloud is rolling in.
I thought I'd go on a bus jaunt to Truro ... then mulling thinking I could hand hubby's hearing aid into the hospital and then I'd know it had arrived. So the plan is/was to catch the bus to Truro. . the bus to the hospital and then come home again. I'd sneaked out of bed to put the washing on early so it would be done before we'd left. All set to have breakfast then catch the 11 o'clock bus!! Hey ho ... I'm still here. Hubby not ready. So it will be the 12 o'clock bus now. If the hospital don't accept post from me Plan B .. I'll go to the post office in Truro. Mind you it could all change!!
Hubby lost his purse a few days ago and knowing its only got £5 in I didn't worry. He was searching all over and couldn't find it. I had a quick look but couldn't see it. Then he said he'd found it but no money in ... notes or coins ..??? So ????? Then yesterday I had another look through his drawers and found it on the top with the money in. Put it on the bed and he picked it up without saying anything. I can hear him popping it open and looking in it ... which reminded me. Silly how popping noises can set you on edge!!!! ARGH My poor blood pressure. Good job I'm not on a monitor!!
It must have been scary waiting to get off the A30 Hazel. Try the old A30 next time. There wont be a problem on there
I think everyone has reached their stress limit . I know I have for sure. There are going to be enormous blow ups as we all lose our tempers

Good morning everyone, another nice day by the look of it. Both my hotbins are belting out at 70C and digesting all next doors lawn clippings I cadged off her chap that cuts the grass. lol It'll be ready to use compost in 30 days.
I made my chutney yesterday and today have one mask to make for a lady's 90yr old mother, custom made as she has a very small face and normal masks just slip off. Hope it fits. Then not sure what else I'll be doing.
Diane there was no sign of a traffic hold up on the A30 at the Bodmin end, when I left Bodmin, it was only at the services Roche Intersection it was queued up. I don't like the old coach road, it's a terrible road with potholes and people speeding where it's too narrow so I tend to avoid it like the plague and especially now with cars queuing for the tip, it's a nightmare. They're doing it on an odds and evens scheme, going by people's reg plates.
Starry how's the new tumble drier? OMG I couldnt move into a care home, it would drive me crazy and I'd miss my pets too much too. I don't mind being on my own 99% of the time, its only occasionally it gets me down a little bit.
Carol won't it be too cold to go to the caravan during the winter? You're braver than me
Well no more news I'm afraid, I lead an exciting life!

Morning ladies.
Starry yes mine seems to dry faster than the manual says. I've not tried it on ultra quiet because it takes a bit longer it says in the book, and I don't put the drier on in the evening anyway. My main living room and kitchen is all one big room, so I chose this drier (Beko) as it was the quietest one. All my other appliances apart from the drier and cooker are Samsung. You can't beat them for quality can you. And the 10yr guarantee is fab.
I've been busy in the garden, had both hotbin composters going full belt baking my compost to 80C but the temp is gradually dropping now as I don't have enough garden/household waste at the moment to feed them, the only green kitchen waste I had this week I needed to give to the worms. Their 'worm tea' is a fantastic fertiliser, once diluted (20 parts water to 1 part worm tea) and given to the plants they go beserk and triple in size. Infact some of my garden plants are so big now I'm going to have to move them in the winter. They're ginormous.
Not much to do today, I've made lots of different chutneys but run out of jars again now, so will have to wait til tomorrow when Amazon bring some more. I've got just one more chutney to make, a special xmas one that I've not made for donkeys years. I had to get some more spices as I didn't have them all, so looking forward to making that, as it will bring back memories of when mum was alive and we used to make pickles and chutneys in the autumn. The Christmas chutney is fantastic,if anyone wants the recipe just ask. I can recommend it. My runner bean chutney and the others are put away to mature. And I have a few more mini muncher cucumbers to slice up and pickle for the winter.
That registration plate was a good one Starry. Someone asked me if mine was a personalised one the other day, I can't say I think of it as a personalised one. KS18 XXT the only bit is the KS1 which you could read as kissy, but thats about it.
Carol how's Brodie?
Right off to do some carpet cleaning as Lily le Puss has just sprayed the hall rug while ejecting a huge furball. Nice! lol
Enjoy your w/end ladies and stay safe.

Good morning everyone. It was thick fog this morning but the sun is showing through so it will soon be gone. I'm already beginning to think about winter duvets and need to get it out to air it

Good afternoon ladies.
The planters sound lovely Starry are they on legs or do they stand on the ground?
I've got 3 masks to make today, same family, a prize to send to Holland that someone won on Twitter last night in my XPets club competition, and hopefully will have time to make my Christmas chutney. I didnt get round to it yesterday.
Motivation is difficult the last few months since Covid.
I've been searching for a gardener to help me in my garden. I need someone to dig a couple of new flower borders out the front and move my big plants from the back out there. It's not a big job, but I can't dig now as my back's not good enough, plus can't breath properly, so thought I better get someone in to do the donkey work for me. After that's done there's the big borders out the back to keep weeded. But all these gardeners seem to charge the earth. My late friend in Scotland had a local chap did all hers for £8 an hour, down here it's £15 to £20 and up.
I could do the borders myself the easy way by laying black plastic over where I want the borders (bin liners) and peg it down and leave it over winter, the grass then dies off and the worms work underneath the plastic so come spring when I take it off, the earths nice and crumbly underneath and easy to dig. Trouble is, it's a bit of an eye sore out the front to do that. I can see me ending up doing it that way though unless I win the lottery and can afford a gardener.
It's a beautiful day here, 25C they say. I think it's a bit hotter than that actually, it's like walking out into an oven out the back. And the dogs are in the shade with their tongues lolling out.
Enjoy your day and stay safe!

Hello everyone.
Its a lovely day here today.
Just been to weigh in so that job's done and dusted.
Spent yesterday out in the garden. Hubby had gone back to bed, so I went into the garden to tackle the grass edges and sorting out the sheds. Was having a lovely quiet day when himself got up and came out to 'help'. I was just on the verge of stopping to have lunch and he started .... so I couldn't face coming indoors with him, so stayed outside. When I eventually came in I'd done almost all the edges and put the sheds back and the stuff not going back somewhere else and my back was crippling me. I walked round like an old lady, but its feeling lots easier this morning. I think I went to bed at 8.

Good morning everyone.
Misty old start but warming up now.
I found a gardener on bark.com day before yesterday and he got back to me within the hour. Came out yesterday to see what I wanted doing and the ongoing maintenance work I need. I accepted his quote and he turned up this morning at 8.45am. Soooo refreshing to find someone who actually wants to work and keeps appoitnments. Only a young lad, well they all look about 15 now to me LOL but married with his own house, and a huge 4x4 pickup with a detachable roof thing on the back.
Had a Great Tit knocking on my living room window all day yesterday til 7pm and he was back again this morning at 7am. I've contacted Chris Packham on Twitter and the RSPB as I dont know why he's doing it. He's not seeing a reflecion and he's not after food. Maybe he just wants to come inside for company It's cute but after a while gets on your nerves with the tap tap tap. I was at the kitchen window yesterday afternoon washing up and blow me if he didnt turn up at that one tapping at me. He's a character.
Oh Starry lets hope Covid has got under control by the time the baby arrives. I'm beginning to wonder if that will ever happen. Italy seem t have nailed it, my friend in Rome said in Italy there are hardly any cases but they are stricter. If someone is caught outside without a mask they get a huge fine.
Enjoy your day ladies! Keep safe!

Good morning everyone.
Its a lovely bright day here after thick fog had cleared.
The new cleaners are arriving soon, so a scurry round to get hubby ready.
That'll be lovely to have another new baby in the family Starry.

Good morning ladies.
Beautiful day here and already 21C here.
I have a couple of masks to send off today, one to make first, and I want to prune my lavender and rosemary plants that we transplanted out the front yesterday as they're quite big and some are a bit leggy with a hole here and there in the mounds. Bit late to prune the Lavenders should be done after flowering, although some are still in flower so will leave those. I'll cut them down to about 9" - 10" so they bush up nicely. The Rosemary I'll just prune back and tidy them up a bit.
My Great Tit is still turning up every morning and visiting every hour or so to tap on the window. Had no reply from RSPB will try Cornwall Wildlife see if they can solve the puzzle. He must want something to keep coming back.
Diane, are these different cleaners to the ones you usually have? Do you and hubby have to be in another room when theyre there?
Enjoy your day folks and stay safe!

They are different cleaners hazel. My original ones decided not to work the day they came to me and couldn’t fit me in at a convenient time I’m hoping that sometime we might actually get back to what we usually did. They were gloved up but we just mingled They have got sanitising cleaning products I just kept my distance and the windows were open
