Try putting some Christmas lights on the scaffolding Starry - then you will be sure they will need taking down before its removed
Sounds like you are very busy Hazel

Good afternoon all. A cold crisp day here. Diane, I like the idea of putting lights on Starry's scaffolding, sod's law would be sure to apply and they will soon need to be taken dow. Starry, I seem to remember that you've had problems with your chimney breast a couple of times now - so annoying for you. Brodie is in dire disgrace after discovering the joys of digging. He got passed Gordon whilst his legs, undercarriage and muzzle were covered in mud. Mud all over my carpets and he stinks to high heaven! Last night Gordon went out into the garden to stop him doing it again and managed to twist his knee badly. I think he's torn cartilage or a tendon. He's in a great deal of pain and now we're both hobbling. We're nowhere sorted and he's insisting on trying to continue as normal. We've still got a carload to bring in yet, thankfully most of it is garden stuff. Stay safe all.

Afternoon all. Wet today, but I dont mind as I managed to plant all my bulbs by yesterday and Larry nipped round the lawn in dry weather.
Carol I posted your ear tensioners at lunchtime, so should be with you by tuesday have sent you a pm explaining whats in the package. Poor Brodie LOL Maybe a fox has buried something in your garden and he's found it. Thats usually why they suddenly start digging, although Dora and Gizmo keep digging at the edge of the patio and there's nothing there, they've now exposed the boundary wire for the mower, so I have to keep going out and checking its not broken and filling the hole again. Not sure what they're eating, maybe grubs or something. Dora loves eating dandelions and if there aren't any in the lawn because Larry's cut them off she'll dig down and find the root and eat that. Weird creature. But as Dandelions are medicinal I don't mind her eating them.
Still hectic with mask making and also matching bow ties and bandanas for pets pffft....
Starry good idea to still keep up the social distancing over christmas, I heard today the first vaccine announced will be ready to roll out at christmas. Great news the mans arrived to fix the leak and good idea to leave the scaffolding up for a while.
Diane did you manage to get to the hairdressers before this lockdown?
Keep safe everyone. Back to the sewing machine for me.

Good morning everyone.
Its been very drizzly here today but it looks like it could be brightening up.
I did get to the hairdresser before second lockdown Hazel. Not my own one ... I never heard from her again ... and now they've sold the salon on to someone else. I tried a new hairdresser in Lanivet but had a shock when they charged £36 I think it was for two dry cuts. Hubby and me. So planning on trying a mobile hairdresser next. Her charge for us both will be £25. I tried to book as second lockdown started but she said hold off ... but it sounds like we will be coming out of lockdown on the 2nd (sounds like they will be announcing it tomorrow) so hopefully I've put three preferred dates in and will get one. Otherwise I'll resort to getting the clippers out again.

That hair dresser in Lanivet is dreadful Diane. Expensive and not that good either. Have you tried Blush in Bodmin? Thats where I used to go to, very good prices and excellent hairdressers. Plus you can park right outside, they're down near the Factory Shop and the vets. Can't recommend them enough.
Well it's been dry today but the grass is still wet. I've had Larry out cutting the grass, so I'll have to give him a good clean up underneath before he goes into hibernation.
Had a lazy day today really, for a change. I'm hoping Carol got her bits from me today, hopefully.
Take care people and stay safe. xxx

Good afternoon all. We've been continuing to sort out. It's slow progress as Gordon has wrecked his knee and he won't let me go up the ladder. The bedroom smoke alarm has been chirping and Gordon couldn't get it down. Thankfully Mr Google knew the answer and it has now been removed. I took Gordon to the Doctor's this afternoon for his injections, hopefully, he'll start to pick up now. I've been doing as much as I can and am now in a lot of pain, so things are not good at the moment. My gardener has practically finished my garden now. I'm delighted to have it restored. He's good ar DIY so he's going to come in very handy. The caravan microwave is in the car and is going to be put in the sun lounge once the old brackets have been moved to the other side of the room. Hopefully this Sunday. Hope you're all well. Hazel, we don't open the post for 5 days once it's been received. Gordon failed to go out and collect it so your letter is probably in the porch along with several boxes etc. I'll let you know when we've got it. Hope everyone is well.

Good morning everyone.
Its grey and damp outside although not sure if its still raining.
This virus has a lot to answer for Starry. Its made life so much more difficult for too many folks.

Good Morning all. A cold grey day here so far. Had a couple of rough days with Brodie. We were running out of one lot of medication. I'd ordered it and asked if they would ring when it was ready for collection. Needless to say no phonecall and we ran out. He had a really bad coughing spell, which woke me up. I considered the emergency vet but the vets are newly qualified and don't have experience with PF. He settled down eventually but being anxious I didn't get much sleep. He saw Cara and whilst we sat outside in the cold she gave him a full check over. His lungs are quite good and it was just a lump of clag that he couldn't cough up. Today he is a different dog and back to normal thank goodness. He's 14 now and quite sprightly.
The sorting out is going slowly but I have now found that a nearby food bank, will accept anything except electrical or furniture. It will speed things up considerably.
Starry this virus has brought so much misery for so many people. I do feel sorry for your Mum and understand how she feels. Her generation has made so many sacrifices in their lifetime. It is so sad that towards the end of their lives they have to make yet more.

Evening all, or morning when you read this.
Been up to my eyes with mask orders but thankfully this w/e I can relax. I potted up all my spring bulbs yesterday as it was nice outside, and today my Queen Elizabeth roses and hardy geraniums arrived, so I'll have to sort them out tomorrow.I was going to take it easy as I pulled a muscle lifting the bulb containers yesterday.
I bet your tree with the lights looks very cheery Starry. I've bought 2 light up reindeers to go out the front and will be putting them out there next week. Already got fairy lights up at the 2 front windows LOL
Good to hear Cornwall is in Tier 1 of lockdown rules. Our infection rates are dropping rapidly, although seeing as people from Tier 3 can come down here and the guest houses and camp sites are already advertising for them to come, the numbers will be going up again in a couple of weeks and we'll be in Tier 2 or 3. Absolutely ridiculous to allow people to travel from one tier to the next.
I saw the idiots in London demonstrating against lockdown and fighting the police. They're not all low lifes there's a lot of professional people amongst them, you'd think they'd have more intelligence ranting about there's no such thing as covid its all made up, and wearing a mask and lockdown is against their civil liberties and taking away their freedom. They want issuing with a card exempting them from NHS treatment when they come down with covid, and not considered for vaccination as they're so against it. Just can't understand their thinking, morons the lot of them, and putting innocent people at risk by their selfish actions.
Carol I sent those tensioners off about 10 days ago 1st class so you would have got them the next day. Can you let me know if they've arrived or not? Its a large A5 envelope with a printed postage label on the front.
Keep safe everyone!

I was concerned about the meat factory in Bodmin with everyone supposedly being 100% tested and thought that would affect our figures but my son doesn't think it will - fingers crossed
