What another wet day here today.

No sign of a bed yet Starry.   It must be so hard to keep residents separate from one another when they don't understand. Almost impossible I would say 

Hello everyone, sorry for my abscence. 

We have gales here today its difficult to stand up outside. 

D|ANE I'm so sorry you're going through this now, I know how difficult and soul destroying it is looking after someone with mental health issues. Getting the help you need was practically zero when I was looking after Pete and I hoped it would improve in future but it doesnt seem to have. The only way you can get anywhere is to keep badgering them, ring everyday, don't worry if you sound like a broken record just batter them with calls. It's damn hard when you can't get away for a few minutes peace and calm and you have to live with it 24/7. (((hugs)))

STARRY your poor MIL. People assume because some of the elderly are confused or have dementia or AZH they don't know whats going on so don't worry so much. But that's not true as we know. They get more agitated if anything. I don't envy the nurses having to cope in that situation either. It must be almost as distressing for you as it is for her. 

CAROL sorry to hear you're still both struggling. Perhaps once lockdown is eased and we are back to some kind of normality you could get a home help? I know they're not called that now but you know what I mean. I think it would help you a lot. 

Well I've had an awful couple of weeks. So angry with the Roche doctors I've changed to the Bodmin ones on18th of this month. I was with them back in the 70's for about 10 years. The Roche doctors aren't vaccinating my age group, group 5, they're skipping those and only doing the group 6 lot. A bigger group evidently so they get more money for vaccinating them. The new doctors are brilliant, they've booked me into Bodmin for my jab next Monday, sorted out my repeat prescriptions so they are delivered by Roche Chemist as usual, and one of the doctors phoned me about this stomach problem. They are much more efficient and know what they're doing, so I'm pleased I changed.

Good afternoon all, It's bitter here with a strong wind. Gordon has just brought my washing in and it's dry. I'm working my way through a mountain of washing all things that can't be dried in my dryer.  Hazel, my gardener has stopped coming because of the cold and the fact that he is moving, when it safe for him to come inside, he also be doing my cleaning. He is a house husband with very high standards. He also does my DIY.  Sally does my shopping and with Paul also I will be well taken care of. It's just a matter now of keeping going on the sorting out and getting rid of everything. Once the bungalow is clear my life will go back to normal. Gordon will then go back to his flat, he'll probably ask Paul to assist him with the cleaning as well. Gordon is to housework as Attilla the Hun was to peace.

 

DIANE I didn't know they were moving??? Where are they off to? I'm with Carnewater and not heard anything about them moving. 

Yes having the jab at the medical treatment area on Monday. I've been in the Peninsula building before  you get to the medical treatment centre but not in the medical treatment centre. I suppose we park opposite, George said there are people there to show you where to go so hopefully it'll be ok. And he said it's all signposted. He's typical male, doesn't give too much away, it's like trying to get information out of a spy. 

STARRY, my old surgery did groups 1 to 4 then skipped my group altogether and went on to group 6. Even though I was also in group 6 because of diabetes they said as I was 65-69 I came under group 5 so they wouldn't be doing me. I was fuming. Couldnt book in Roche chemist as they're always booked up and didn't want to go to Wadebridge which is a fair old drive. 

Had my meds delivered today,  Wednesday,  by the chemist here. I'd ordered them Monday from the new surgery and they were sent up to the chemist the next day. They did call me to say the old surgery hadn't put a repeat list of my meds in with my history, so theyd had to go through everything to find them and asked if they'd got them all, which they had. Then sent me a text yesterday to tell me the script had been sent up to Roche. They're very efficient. 

Good Morning all, a lovely sunny day here to enjoy.  Gordon hasn't been awake long so he's just having his breakfast. By the time he's digested it and wiped up no work will get done. It does annoy me, but if I wake him up he's grumpy for the rest of the day. I've written a list of jobs he's said he will do for me so I'm hoping he will make a start on them.
I did post yesterday but it disappeared into the ether, never to be seen again.
