Good Morning Starry, a beautiful day here too. No plans for us, Gordon's back is bad after doing some heavy lifting yesterday. He is going to potter gently today. His shoulder is a bit sore after his jab, and it has made him very sleepy. Our beautiful day has gone, and it's now dull and overcast. Looks like it will be a DVD afternoon for us, no popcorn I broke a tooth on it a few weeks ago! Have a good day, and stay safe.

I've got a date for my second jab today. 8th April. That will be 11 weeks after the first one.
Also got a Discharge Meeting for hubby next week. Loads of people in the meeting I've not heard of .... so will be interesting to say the least. I'm very anxious about it but I'm gathering loads of questions which need answering before I can make any decisions. Although, having said that he had another fall last night and they said his sleeping hasn't improved. So it sounds like he has gone downhill since I last saw him.

Good morning Diane. Good news on your second vaccination appointment, that's a big relief off of your mind. A discharge meeting sounds a bit worrying Diane, particularly if your husband has got worse. If he has a fall in the middle of the night how are you going to get him up on your own? You definitely do not want to pick him up from the floor. I did my back in doing that! Calling for an ambulance is an option, but if they're busy. and they often are, you could wait for hours. I wish you good luck but put your needs first.
Gordon wasn't too well yesterday he had a sore throat and was freezing. He looked and sounded awful, thankfully, he's much better today. l think it was a reaction to his vaccination on Tuesday. He had the Phizer one. I'm shuffling paper this afternoon, something I hate doing, but I get so much mail. Have a good day all and take care.

Good afternoon ladies. Was a lovely day until about an hour ago when we had horizontal hail stones, boy did it come down.
I've got a break in my robot mower boundary wire somewhere, so had to order a cheap transistor radio from Amazon which you can use to find the break (the wire's buried underground). So that'll be here tomorrow and if the weather's ok I can get out there and trace where the break is and rejoin it.
I've ordered a small cordless battery mower for the front. The big electric one is way too big for out there plus all the faffing about with leads and extensions. I ordered it from a local garden machinery place in St Austell so they'll ring me when it's arrived, probably monday or tuesday next week. I can't mow out there yet as the crocus, snowdrops and other spring bulbs I put in the lawn are still in bloom.
People who had the Pfizer jab have told me they were poorly after the second jab, nothing serious, just flu symptoms and migraines, so it probably is Gordon's vaccination caused it Carol.
Good news you got your second appointment Diane, mine's around mid April I think, by counting on the calendar from when I had the first one. I agree with Carol the discharge meeting is ominous, sounds like they have made their mind up they're putting the responsibility onto you as usual. Put your foot done or you'll get lumbered and end up with no life and being ill yourself. I know it sounds hard but you have to really fight for them finding him a place in a home. They have spaces, don't let them fob you off.
Starry do you have a greenhouse? I wish I had one. I've just potted on some knautia plugs that arrived this morning, and it was cold out there doing that with the wind whipping round my back.
Stay safe everyone!

Paul will be at the meeting with me. Online of course. I’ve got a list of questions already. I can’t consider having him home unless they are answered and I see him face to face it sounds like he has got worse so it sounds like a care home but as we own our own home it looks like that will have to pay for it. Bang goes my sons inheritance. It will break my heart. Going to be a tough decision

Good afternoon all. A lovely morning, but very cold. The day didn't start too well for me, Gordon had left a plastic bag on my washing machine. This morning, when I went down the step into my sun lounge, I slipped on the bag which was on the step. If it hadn't been for safety rail I would have fallen. I jarred my back, strained my shoulder. I'm in horrendous pain. Whilst doing the washing up I found he'd put the hot frying pan on my plastic chopping board. I asked why he hadn't used the trivet and he exploded. He spent most of the morning scraping the plastic off. The atmosphere is still decidedly frosty.

Ouch Annie. Hope you are feeling better soon
i can’t get a proper answer Starry. Once I thought if I outlive hubby there would be nothing to pay. Other seems to be the house would be taken. It would be magic if it wasn’t.

Good afternoon all, it's cold and overcast here. I'm feeling a lot better than I did yesterday and managed to get a fairly good night's sleep. Gordon wasn't well last night - stress! He's only just woken up after a very good night's sleep.
Gordon's got the TV on and has just gone to make his brunch. I'm not sure what I'm having for lunch yet. I'm in the middle of making a ginger trifle, I'm hoping to finish it this afternoon. Once we've eaten I'll do the washing up and then I'm going to read my book. Have a good day all.

Starry, just seen our local weatherman. It's going to drop 15 degrees on the 5th of April, it's unlikely we will get snow but it's possible. Winter hasn't finished with us yet! Typical, released from total lockdown only for it to get too cold to sit outside. Going to make the most of the next few sunny days while we can. I do wish Boris had been a bit more explicit on going out, how far can we go? Stay in your own area but you can play golf and tennis. I want to go to the beach about 5 miles away am I safe to do it? Who knows?
