Re: Good Morning

Evening all, thank you for the birthday wishes.

I picked my car up this afternoon. I love it! Best car I've had for years. I took it to Bodmin this evening to show it off to George, he got his new to him car a few weeks ago when he got his licence back from DVLA (hadn't been allowed to drive for 12months for medical reasons). He has a Corsa, the entry level one. He loved my Growler (C1)

Starry one twin will always be a year old than her sister, thats weird isnt it.

Re: Good Morning

Good morning everyone.

Its a dry day and the sun is peeping out a bit and I can see a bit of blue sky.

Sue and I are escaping for lunch out and a moan and groan today. Its sad its come to this.

Enjoy your car Hazel

Re: Good Morning

How strange for those twins. At least it simplifies birthdays ... maybe

Re: Good Morning

Good morning everyone

Thanks Diane, I really love driving it, it reminds me of a classic mini the way it handles. Like a powerful little roller skate LOL

Well it's clearing up here weatherwise, been a damp drizzly night but the sun's trying hard to peep through the grey clouds and it's looking quite bright where it succeeds.

I'm back to the garage today to get some car mats, as there aren't any in the Growler. I have to take the mats back from the Cactus too, I'd taken them all out except the drivers side to clean and left them on the drive while i was taking stuff out the car and forgot to put them back in. Didn't realise til I got home and saw them, as the drivers mat is fixed to the floor so obs thought they were all back in it. What a dipstick! lol

They're no good for the Growler as they're way too big.

I keep thinking about those twins. Although they're the same age one will always be a year older, how does that work? Confused.

Re: Good Morning

Not much work done. I had to have an emergency doctor's appointment for breathing problems, very scary!  She was very thorough my lungs have got a bit of a crackle at the base which could be several things but not infection. Having an x ray and blood test on Tuesday. Results willl take about three weeks. I've been exposed to asbestos when I worked at the power station so she wants to rule out anthing nasty.

Re: Good Morning

Good Morning all. Feeling a lot better today. We sorted out my glass cupboard yesterday. I've got a box of unwanted glasses for a charity shop and a bag full in the wheelie bin, Looking at casseroles today. I've got two slow cookers and one electric pressure cooker so apart from a couple for serving from will get rid of most of them.  I'm in a ruthless mood nothing is safe at the moment. Have a good day all.

Re: Good Morning

Good morning everyone.

Its another bright day and Paul, Maya and Lola are on their way over. Maya and Lola fancied a bus trip and I think they've decided on Plymouth. It will be a nice day for a long ride and we haven't been to Plymouth for a while.

Muddles I am confused about the twins as well! their grandmother says her daughter and son in law are going to celebrate their birthdays on the 1st of January until they are old  enough to decide for themselves which I suppose while they are little is a good idea , the hospital said they had this happen on the millennium year which is even worse!!
Nice here  today but windy, the sea looks lovely  huge rollers and very sparkly , quite a few surfers are in the sea they look like seals from a distance.

I found this online about twins born either side of midnight in different years. It looks like it could cause a lot of problems.

Twins Born on Either Side of MidnightThe difference between today and tomorrow is literally a matter of seconds. Plenty of babies are delivered in the middle of the night. Babies that are born close to midnight may arrive on different days. For example, Twin A may be born at 11:59 pm on one day while Twin B doesn't make an appearance until 12:01 am, which would be the next day. This can create some interesting dilemmas.    For example, two British twins were born either side of midnight on August 31 and September 1. Unfortunately, September 1 is the cut-off date for starting school in their area, so only the first-born twin would turn 5 in time for the start of kindergarten. The father, a twin himself, said he would do everything possible to ensure they both were in the same grade at school. The difference in the month would also matter when they were due for immunizations, even though there were born only minutes apart. While common sense may rule, sometimes there are strict date cutoffs encoded in law that would require petitioning for an exception. Twins Born in Different Years, Decades, and MillenniaThere are cases of twins born in different years. In Texas, twins were born only one minute apart, but in different years, delivered by C-section as the last baby of 2013 and the first baby of 2014. A similar situation occurred as 2015 changed to 2016 in San Diego with fraternal twins. Twins can be born in different decades, as happened as 2009 changed to 2010 and a pair of Florida twins came into the world on each side of the dividing line.To top it all, there are twins born in different millennia. Twins were born in Massachusetts only eight minutes apart, but they were born in proximity to the turn of the millennium in 2000. One boy arrived on New Year's Eve, 1999, just a few minutes shy of midnight. And in the first few seconds of the year 2000, his twin brother took his first breath. In these cases, there can be ongoing implications for eligibility for programs and services as well as tax deductions. The parents would have to advocate for including both twins the year the first was eligible or delaying until both were eligible, if possible.

Re: Good Morning

Good morning everyone. Drizzly here. Supposed to be dry today pffft.

No plans for tday, I nipped into Asda yesterday for a few little bits and bobs, I don't need shopping this week, still living off the Christmas supplies LOL It was packed in the car park.  One cashier said it was the threat of WW3 someone told her. I said to her 'Well I hope they bought BBQ stuff'

I have to go to the garage today as I forgot the mats for the Cactus and the service history, it's only half an hour down the road so no problem, and it's another excuse to drive the pocket rocket

Enjoy your Saturday xx
