It's interesting to read about Betty's send off. So different to the previous one. People's lives are so diverse aren't they.

Good morning all, it's bitterly cold here had to put the heating on. Brodie was out in the garden this morning for ages. Following scents, probably of mice, rats, squirrels and fox. The joys of having the remains of a wood at the back of me. Usually get some in the garage over the winter as well. I was exhausted yesterday so had an early night. Woke up at 2.30 with cramp all down my right leg. Fortunately I had a hot water bottle which eventually worked but no before the air had turned blue. I'm pottering today between kitchen and bedroom. I've got two large boxes and am clearing anything that has been left out. Hopefully rooms will be tidier and I can start my dusting which has been left for a while. I'm not touching the dinning room that will left until the other rooms are fit to be seen. I'm looking for a cleaner and gardener. Not having much luck so far. Have a good day all.

Good morning all. Bit nippy this morning, mainly cos it's windy. But at least its not raining.
I didnt see the Wolf Moon last night, usually there's too much cloud here to see anything.
Going to Asda today to get a little bit of shopping, I don't need £40 worth to get it delivered free. I had been buying enough to get free delivery but I ended up stockpiling food which is ridiculous, so going to make the effort to go into Bodmin every week now. Plus it gives me an excuse to drive The Growler (new car) which is great fun!
Enjoy your day everyone and keep warm.

Good morning everyone.
Is a weird day here weatherwise. It looks like it should be raining and it might be, but I can't see it but its damp.
Glad I'm not going out.
Steve is coming back Monday to fit the shower. Its the cleaners hubby that is a plumber, but has a regular plumbing job but does bits on the side. But he doesn't do gas. He was horrified to see how the shower had been fitted (by our regular plumber) as he'd siliconed the case to the wall and said it should have been fitted properly so an air flow is round the shower to cool it down. As soon as he said it, he said it will be burnt out because there was no air flow. I was thinking of asking him to fit our towel rails that I've had for months that Paul said he'd fit for us too and get that job done. No wonder our regular plumber said he couldn't come till February!!!
Hubby called me to see the moon last night. It rose over the police station. It looked absolutely gorgeous and so large, then it went behind the clouds.

Good morning everyone.
Its dry and I can see a bit of sun and some blue sky.
A quiet day on the cards I think.

Afternoon all it's bitterly cold. Just went out into the garden to put a bag in the wheelie bin. I'm now breathless. I have got to loser weight I'm far heavier than I should be. Hopefully that is all that it is. Having my x-ray on Tuesday, not expecting good news. The next four days are going to be wet so am under pressure to get my drying done today. The tumble dryer is going to have to go into the sun lounge. I can't keep walking to the garage. I've got to pick Gordon up so he will take the bin out for me. He's also so said he'll put the drying on for me. I'll hopefully be able to manage to bring it in if I split the load in two. It's a bugger getting old.

Good morning everyone.
Its a bit damp and windy outside.
I'm hoping to get to Short Mat Bowls this afternoon and start weigh in next Monday. I gave myself a break and a chance to have a quiet time after the madness and I'm feeling my normal self again.

Good mornng all
Very windy here today, it's rained in the night but isn't at the moment. I think they said it will turn nasty this afternoon as it moves up country.
I've got the nurse at 2.10pm for blood pressure check. It was slightly high last time, and she said she wanted to see me in a month to see if it's come down. I thought last time it was a case of white coat syndrome but it won't do any harm to get it checked again. I do have a wrist BP monitor which I use, although haven't for a couple of months, and my BP is always normal on that. The nurse said they're not reliable like the upper arm type. Yet they lend out the wrist ones to patients who need to keep a daily check for a week.
I'm hoping it's lower as I don't want to go on meds. At the moment I've avoided any kinds of meds apart from my statins and thyroid tablets. I think the more meds you take the more things you get wrong with you. I'm feeling quite dizzy today, but putting that down to my vestibular problem because BP doesnt cause dizziness.
I'm waiting on Hermes coming today too, between 2 and 6pm. I've ordered a top cover for my car. It just covers the windows all round and the roof. Where my drive slopes quite a lot the car has to park with its nose down or nose up if I reverse in. And because it's not parked on the level when we have really heavy rain and wind the rain penetrates around the doors. Not inside the car thank goodness, but when I open the doors the area between the seal and the outer edge has beads of water on. I've never had that before with my other cars so will mention it when it goes in for a software update this week. At least the seals stop any moisture getting inside the car. It's not a major problem as it drains away. So anyway, I looked on Amazon and read all the reviews for different covers and chose the one I thought was best. I didnt want a full cover because they're too difficult to put on by yourself. I also needed one that would fix securely all the way round as we always have wind here and if it didnt fit securely with hooks and straps it would end up on Bodmin Moor! So we'll see what it's like. I can't try it out today though because by the time it's delivered we will be in the grip of Storm Brendan.
Diane, is it Slimming World/Weight Watchers you go to for your weigh in? Hows the weight loss going? I should do something this year, my weight is really bad now and it's making me very breathless. I did go to Slimming World in the village but it was very expensive and I couldn't get on with their diet. I find the low carb diet suits me better because it's just what I'd normally eat without rice, potatoes and pasta. hmm... which is 99% of what my meals are made of LOL
Enjoy your day folks and stay safe!

Good morning all - another cold one! Brrrr. Did a lot more washing yesterday. I think that's the last of the caravan stuff. Just got a lot of dusters and cleaning cloths to do. and hopefully the washing machine can have a good rest for a while. Meanwhile I have a huge pile of clean clothes etc to put away. Had some bad news this morning my cousin is in hosptial. He has a leaky heart valve and his lungs and kidneys are not strong enough for surgery. He is struggling to breathe but remains cheerfull and cracking the odd joke. A waiting game for his family.
Got some phone calls to make my television has gremlins! It changes channel all on it's own and turns itself on if it is left in standby mode. I was watching call the midwife last night and missed all the important bits as it just kept changing and found it hard to catch up. Going to ring the help desk and ask them to email mail instructions to me. There is nothing in the instruction book to sort it. Otherwise it goes to the tip. It is a bit awkward as it was a gift from Gordon two years ago. It would not have been my choice I've never been keen on it. Have a good day all.
