Its dry and windy here today.
I've got my online shop arriving this afternoon and the new floor lamp is arriving at the same time!! Loads and loads is missing from my shop ... out of the 4 x 4 pints Skimmed Milk that we have every week we've got 2 and no long life and no powder milk among other essentials !! Still no availability for next week. Its a real headache. Thank heavens there are only two of us. How do families cope??? This is a nightmare beyond belief and that's before we start getting sick. Don't panic they say !!!
Any how ... I've passed it onto my 'shopper' !!! See what he can come up with.
The local taxi firm said yesterday they will collect Click and Collect items and deliver them locally for £5 which is brilliant. Another taxi firm said they would collect whatever is needed (prescriptions and stuff) so I could phone them to collect hubby's next week when (if) it becomes available. I'm imagining my 'shopper' getting to the pharmacy to collect the prescription to be told that the Chemist isn't in at the moment so nothing can be handed out when he has driver over from Newquay !!!!
I'm hoping to get out for a quick walk. I'm still feeling really antsy.

Poor Pippa. Its affecting so many people in so many ways and that's before the illness really hits us. So scary.
People are commenting on Facebook that they are coming down to Cornwall for their Easter break .. and possibly specially early as the children wont be at school .... but ... are they mad ???? Stay where you are and follow guidelines. Why do folks seem to think these guidelines don't apply to them.

The hotel in Newquay that we stay at has just posted that they are shutting their doors for the foreseeable and I'm sure lots of others will be following. That should help stop the stampede down here.

Good morning everyone.
Its dry but feeling on the chilly side today.
We'll be off for our walk today but I'm worried about children being out and about. Hope they aren't I saw a graph today showing we are in the same state Italy was so we are a week away from mayhem. Hope its wrong.
I still can't get an online shop / click and collect from anyone for next week. I even tried Tesco.
Too many people just don't understand the seriousness of this

Morning ladies.
Well the MP for St Austell area who has a cabinet position is pushing for a bill to stop people coming to Cornwall. A lot of places are staying open though and the travel agents and agents who book cottages for the owners are publicising 'Come to Cornwall to go into self isolation' and even offering self isolation packs.
We can't cope down here in a normal summer so if they come down and spread their disease we have no hope. It needs addressing urgently.
I've made a poster I keep tweeting and people are sharing it, I'll put it on my facebook page today and hope people share it. The thought of people swarming down here is more worrying than the virus at the moment.

Not sure this will work, it's a link to my Facebook page with the notice about staying away from Cornwall if anyone wants to share it.

Good morning ladies.
Oh Starry I'm so sorry to hear this news, let us hope because they are young they will only get mild symptoms, you must be worried sick, especially for Pippa. *hugs*
The weather is good here with clear blue skies and sunshine, the wind has dropped to a breeze but it's still a cold breeze.
I'm wondering whether to take the car for a little run today to keep the battery charged up but a bit nervous incase I have a breakdown, how stupid is that, I've not had a breakdown for years.
Take care everyone, prayers and love to you all. xxxx

Good morning everyone.
Its a beautiful day here and we'll be off out in the garden to do some work.
I have my Mothers Day FaceTime earlier. We overslept and just woke at 10 then Paul called, so breakfast was really late.
Paul said the amount of holiday makers in Newquay is really worrying so he is social isolating too.
How worrying for you Starry. You must be worried sick. All the best for them.
Hazel - you could go round the block so that should you break down you can walk home. Go round as many times as you feel the car needs.

Paul went shopping for us yesterday and got most of the stuff that I couldn't get on my online delivery so we are stocked up again. The only thing that he couldn't get was baked beans. He said Sainsburys were stripped bare in the morning but he went back and it was stocked in the afternoon. Aldi in the morning were well stocked and the local fruit and veg wholesaler in Newquay is well stocked. He got me a sack of potatoes. I haven't had a sack of potatoes for years!!!!

Goodness me Starry. Good news. I would be assuming he had it and isolate. He can’t take the risk
