Good morning ladies.
Beautiful day here, glad to say my coir was delivered yesterday evening.
My elderly neighbours son went off to his friends fishery lake again this morning, after me phoning her and asking if they'd actually seen the announcement telling us to stay at home and only go out once a day for exercise or to get shopping. She said yes then said its quite safe where he goes, he only see's the owners and has coffee and chats with them, as there's not many people there fishing. I did hope after all the notices on tv telling people that he wouldnt go anymore, but no, this morning he's gone off again. I can't believe he is so stupid. I'm tempted to contact our local radio phone in show but if I mention it on air or to them and they mention it on air, then it will give away its me who's complaining. Don't know what to do.
So angry that he and the owners of the fishing lake who are keeping it open for people, are so damn stupid and not taking this seriously. What is wrong with people?
And as for the people swarming into cornwall from the rest of the UK, our cases of the virus has shot up from 8 to over 30 in 24hrs. 2 paramedics in isolation now as they have contracted the disease from these people. We will never get it under control all the time people are being so cavalier. pfft.
Sorry but i'm really angry this morning, that while most of us are following the rules, its a total waste of time while these morons are breaking the rules and not even caring.

There was a question on tv last night about fishing and was it alright to go and they were emphatic .. no ... non essential .... ESSENTIAL ONLY ... When are folks going to get the message. They will have to end up stopping us all from going out at all.

Good Morning all. Not been in for a while but I've read back and have caught up. Gordon and I are both snuffly and my sore throat is still with me. Other than that we're fine. We've been indoors since we had to collect Brodie's medication. Got home and found they'd only given him two weeks. Had to go back and collect the remainer. The young vet who dispensed them knows nothing about WLD thankfully I do know a lot but only thanks to a facebook site. We've been tackling chores and finally with no hiding place I exerted a bit of pressure and Gordon fired up the garden incinerater and we burnt all my old paperwork. We were lovely and warm sitting in the sunshine with our hot chocolate. So far we're coping well being together fo 24/7. I've been allocated a shopper as I'm more or less housebound these days. I've had two shops already and although they couldn't get any milk of bread they managed everything else. Today I've got a delivery from ASDA got the last available slot for the next three weeks. They are out of 30 plus items and are sending substitutes for another 26. They're delivery into porchway as we're in self isolation . I've got a pack of disenfectant wipes and will glove up and wipe everything over. Can't be too careful. Take care all and stay safe and well.

Diane it's like talking to a brick wall with next door, they're thick as ... I won't say it. But you get my drift. Well today I sent an email to the D&C Police and attached a screen shot of the fishery website, where it says 'We're Still Open!' and telling people they can go fishing there anytime they want as its good for mental health. pfft.. so no wonder the dickhead next door is still going there.
Then I sent the email and attachments to Radio Cornwall but didnt get a reply.
If people don't adhere to the rules, this pandemic won't get any better and will go on forever, and as you say Diane, the rest of us who are doing what we're told will have to stay in for months because of a few burkes that are still carryin on as normal.
Glad you and Gordon are getting on and keeping busy Carol. You're lucky to have company at this time. I wish sometimes I had someone for company. It's really tough on your own.

Good morning everyone.
Its another lovely day here.
I want to do a bit of housework and get out for a walk. My throat was quite sore last night and I've been gargling through the night. Seems a little easier this morning, but it set me off in a panic. After a horrid day when hubby was rotten.

Good morning everyone
Diane, so sorry you're having a rough time with hubby, it's not easy to cope with. It almost drove me crazy with Peter until he started getting violent then it was just plain scarey.
It's gorgouse here today, I will be going out in the garden later to do some weeding, the couch grass has pushed up through my landscaping fabric and bark chips. I don't think the chap I paid to put it down did it properly, it's never happened before wherever I've lived. I'll scrap up the bark in the summer, lift the fabric and put black bags underneath. That'll stop anything coming through.
Well the neighbours damn son went off out again at 8am. He'd come home last night at about 6 and then went out to the supermarket. I am so stressed out over it I rang 101 and told the police. They were very interested and said they would send 2 officers to the fishery today. I told the policeman that the Countryside Alliance had advised all fisheries to close until further notice, and they are deliberately ignoring the advice. I told the policeman if they do close the fishery he will still be going there every day as he's friends with the owners, so the policeman said he will be watched and stopped each time he goes there and fined £35 each time. To be honest the fine is paltry, it should be a lot more to act as a deterrant. The policeman agreed. He thankd me for informing them and said by doing so I could be saving hundreds of lives. I've been so stressed about it I burst into tears on the phone and felt really silly, but the policeman was so nice. He said it's a frightening situation and we must all do what we have to do to stay safe and to keep others safe.

Well done for phoning the police Hazel. It needs being done if people aren't acting responsibly.

Good morning everyone, been out and fed birds and washed their water containers. It's beautiful out there.
Had to phone the police again, they'd given me a case number. They did send officers out to the fishery yesterday and it is now supposedly closed as they were told to put signage up. BUT that ruddy neighbour's son came home from there last night about 6 then went off to get shopping as usual, they only ever have one carrier bag, but he goes into asda, Lidl or Aldi, so probably infecting people in there. Then came back about 8.30.
Then this morning the bugger left again at 8am wearing his mask ontop of his head to somehow legitimate his going off everyday, the pratt. So I rang the police again, and thats when they told me they'd been to the fishery and shut it down yesterday. They will be attempting to apprehend him where he will be fined £50, and if he does it again he will be stopped again and the fine will double. They said it's people like him who are spreading the virus. They are taking it very seriously.
Went outside my front door last night at 8pm and banged my saucepan with a wooden spoon, there's 32 bungalows here and only one other person was doing it. What a miserable lot of gits they are here. And most of them use the NHS as they're almost all at risk or use NHS services regularly. Couldn't believe the apathy.
Starry its a little bit quieter here but people still aren't staying home and there's still a lot of cars on the road pffft. I bet it was really eerie and creepy being so deserted.
Diane glad to hear your throat is getting better. I used to cut my hair Diane it's pretty easy. Especially if it's layered. I used to hold a section out at a right angle to my head and then cut straight down so the lower part of the section was shorter than the upper section, then do that all the way round and it was perfect. Everyone used to say how nice my hair looked and were amazed I do it myself. Not so easy now with a bob. I'll just let it grow and tied it back I think.
Still can't get my head round this situation, it's like living in a horror movie or something. I see the movie Contagion is on this week. Not sure I want to watch it to be honest. Although the virus scientist that worked on the Ebola and SARS viruses was their medical expert so it's pretty accurate. Not quite sure it's a good thing to show it now as it will make people panic.
Keep safe everyone.
