Re: Good Morning

Good Morning all. Another sunny but crisp day to enjoy.  Hazel having someone with you 24 hours a day may sound good but I sometimes feel Gordon is smothering me with kindness. I need to do things for myself. This morning my PC chappie did my security system renewal. I tried and it things went wrong. Even Andrew had horrendous problems as my server wouldn't play ball. He dealt with a few problems as well. His bill was very reasonable.  Gordon has left his dongle at home Andrew has fixed it so we can share my hub.   So now all is sunshine and light.(fingers crossed).

Well done for reporting the fishing lake and your neighbour. I still think the Governments instructions don't go far enough. Quite a few people are taking no notice what so ever then you get people like us who are doing it wholeheartedly. If I get the virus it will kill me as I have serious problems and am no illusions. Take care everyone and stay safe.
Diane having worked with dementia patients I know just how hard it is to cope. It's much, much harder when it's someone you love.

Re: Good Morning

I think the restrictions will have to be stricter. Too many folks flouting them. Shame for the people who are following the rules.
Sue up the road is still sending her hubby for the paper every day as she said he will forget what to do in six months time. Then she goes out for shopping!! She doesn't get it that he is at risk every time he does it and he could catch the virus as he will forget to not touch surfaces etc and take precautions. Then she's moaning that she can't take the car to drive to somewhere different for a walk. Honestly!!!
My hair has turned out alright. I used the clippers Hazel and used the No 8 guide and it seems okay. I'll see what its like when its settled down.

Re: Good Morning

Well done on cutting your hair, yes clippers are a lot easier, I didnt know you had them.
Starry you'll be tired tonight after all that gardening
Carol I can imagine what it's like to put up with someone 24/7 but I still think it's better than being totally on your own. I think in these circumstances I'd rather have someone to argue with than no-one LOL

The nxt door neighbour's still at the fishery, I'm hoping and praying they catch him as he drives home. The despicable creature!

Re: Good Morning

Good morning everyone.

Its a lovely day here today but the cold air is supposed to be dropping down to us, but I think its staying bright.

We'll be off for our walk. Its amazing that some folks give you the wide berth  , as we do, and some just pass by (I cringe when that happens) Our walks go from path to crossing road to avoid folks. They don't know what we've got andI don't know what they've got.    I spend a lot of time peering anxiously ahead to see if people are about.

Our neighbour from Homebase put a plant on our doorsteps. One person found them and I went t and we'd got a box of giant carnations to plants in the garden. Apparently the store shut yesterday.  Wasn't that nice of him.

The police must be tearing their hair our Starry.

Re: Good Morning

Good morning everyone. Another beautiful day out, well out in the garden not out out.  lol

The wind's quite strong today, but not as cold as it has been.

Starry there's an awful lot of nastiness on social media, even people wishing someone got the virus, infact someone replied to one of my harmless tweets telling people to stay safe and be kind telling me he hopes I get the virus and dies. It upset me quite a bit, because I would never wish any harm on anyone or anything and couldn't understand why someone would be so evil, but maybe they are just panic stricken, terrified even and need to lash out at someone or anyone. Even so it's deplorable behaviour and I reported the tweet to Twitter and his account has been suspended. I suppose we just have to admit that there are some in our society that are not wired the same as we are. This pandemic is certainly bringing them out!

Just tieded my bathroom up so I don't have to move anything now when I want a shower. Which is a relief. And my 2 packs of toilet rolls (48 in total) are now safely stashed out of sight in the spare room, not that anyone is coming in here without a hasmat suit on. LOL

oooooh and BREAKING NEWS The police went round and shut down the fishery yesterday and they apprehended my neighbours son, or must have done cos he's not gone out today. Yaaaaay!!!!!!

Keep safe everyone. xxxx

Re: Good Morning

Good morning everyone.

Its bright but very windy and feeling chilly. Don't think there will be any sitting in the garden today.

We'll get out for a walk but it might be a shorter one.     Who knows.

One of my radio controlled clocks hadn't changed time this morning. I picked up my watch to adjust the time and had a double take. I've put it by the window, instead of the computer, and its changed now. I'm thinking being by the computer there are too many signals around???

What a lovely tribute to that man Starry.

Re: Good Morning

Good morning ladies, beautiful but bitter cold day. I've been out and changed Larry's working days, instead of every day, now he will only come out and cut the grass Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.  Hopefully working less days a week wil be enough to keep the grass short and he'll last longer being used less. That's the theory LOL

Starry so sorry to hear about your friend, it sounds like his kindness touched many people, bless him. I hope he had a peaceful passing. I heard yesterday one of my Twitter friends had died of the virus, she's in Washington, US.  It was such a shock, and brings it home more when it's someone you know.

Had a bit of a bad panic attack last night but calmed down a bit before I went to bed. Woke up at 6am and didnt feel at all well, think it's the stress, carried on regardless like you do and feeling better now.

My crappy neighbour was out at the fishery again yesterday, he left later I suppose perhaps to avoid the police as they know his movements now. I am so angry that he's not been apprehended or if he has he's not taking any notice. One of my Twitter friends says I shouldnt get stressed out over him and should just concentrate on keeping myself safe but I keep thinkng of all the people he could infect if he caught the virus, and what if his van broke down he'd have to get someone out and then put them at risk too.

So anyway, I won't bother phoning the police again, they're busy enough as it is, and they know about him, I can't do anymore and it only winds me up thinking about his total disregard of other peoples safety and the drain it could put on the NHS.

Re: Good Morning

Good Morning all another lovely sunny day here to look at from the safety of the lounge.  It's too cold to sit out in the garden so it's another day indoors.  Not feeling too good my sinuses are kicking off and my pressure headache is back At least my throat has settled down. Gordon is likewise sniffling but nothing unusual in that. Have a good day all and stay safe.

Re: Good Morning

Good morning everyone.

Its another lovely day out there but it looks like the wind is still there.  We'll be able to tell when we get out for our morning walks.

I just had another email from Sainsburys saying a slot is available, so dashed over and did another shop.  I think I've cancelled the Asda order for this week. I actually went into Sainsburys and got through first time like normal!!! Then went to Asda twice and got through as normal. Just need to check that the order actually has cancelled as the second time it says order amending.

We are having an exciting walk today. From my computer window I could see a sign placed on the road through the gap in the hedge in the field. But its behind branches and we can't see what it says. So todays walk is up to see what it says. The excitement is killing me!!!!!! There is one flashing light on the builders field so there is some sort of work going on there. Could be securing the site. ... who knows.

Would be good to have the option on the site to change the order of the posts so the last one comes up. But I can't see that option.
