Carol did your friend in hospital have corona virus?
Offline
Good morning everyone
Its cloudy her
I've skipped walks the last couple of days as we did the housework for our exercise one day and yesterday I felt shattered.
The plan of action today is to sort out my store of food into tins, packets etc. Oh ... the excitement.

The last I heard was that they weren't sure whether you were immune once you'd had the virus Starry. Have they changed their minds now??

Yes, she did Hazel she was having great difficulty in breathing. She was taken into ICU and on oxygen, not sure if she was on a ventilator. She said the pain was terrible it felt as though someone was ripping her lungs out. She's in a normal ward now and only needs oxygen when they get her to walk. My friend's daughter also had the virus she was in the hospital in the CV ward for two days and they said it was pneumonia, her son aged two also had it and was also in the CV ward for children. They went back home with loads of pills and she was still ill in bed.

Good afternoon all. Another day in prison, last night there was a brief bit of freedom whilst we were banging on our saucepans. It was nice to see the few that bothered to go out. My coffee machine needed cleaning as the milk pod leaked - what a mess. I didn't get my coffee till mid-morning by which time I had a headache and felt awful. Within 20 min of having my coffee headache was gone and I felt better - guess I'm addicted to strong coffee. What are you doing to occupy yourself while we're on lock-in?

Well it hasn't made an awful lot of difference to me, I'm busy getting my containers ready for growing my veg and fruit this year, sewing seeds, and I have a couple of support groups I've started online, and the usual online clubs etc. I think food rationing will come in in a few months time, so I'm glad I got stocked up a few weeks ago, as there's not much food about for home deliveries, and it's hit and miss in the stores from what I've been told.
I've had one of those pods explode in the machine, milk isnt as bad as when a coffee pod does it, you get all those tiny grains of coffee everywhere. I still find some even now, months afterwards.

Good morning ladies! Didn't get to sleep til gone 4am this morning. Was so stressed out after yesterday and felt a bit sicky, I felt sick as a parrot when I woke up this morning at 7am. It's worn off a bit now thank goodness.
Beautiful start to the day, although there's a few grey clouds about and the wind is a bit cold. I'll be potting up my jostaberries today, I've ordered some more fabric pots in 2 sizes as I will need some for my tomatoes and cucumber plants and my bush runnerbeans. I've got big 30L round ones for the normal runner beans.
I haven't started sowing yet as it's a bit early.
Had an email from Asda, and there were a lot of subs, but thankfully they were similar to what I'd ordered. I ordered more than I needed as everyone was saying you won't get it all and thats how the last order went too, but today sods law they're bringing it all! Gawd. I'll have to move out and live in a tent at this rate LOL Although its all stuff that will keep and I'm only getting a monthly shop now so the next shop will be quite a small one for the following month.
I had a hell of a problem yesterday with pharmacy2U. They sent me an email to say they couldnt get a response from my GP to authorise my meds so wouldnt be sending them. The prescription was authorised by my GP on 31st March then again on 1st April. So spent all day trying to get hold of P2U with no luck, even emailed them but they are blocking and deleting all new emails until they've caught up with the backlog, and you can't use webchat as that's overloaded. Was pulling my hair out so rang my surgery and they said P2U are terrible so they've diverted my prescriptions back to the village chemist/pharmacy and it will be delivered on Monday and they will deliver it every month thereafter. I had asked if they would deliver it last month but they said their list was full so that's why I went to P2U. Be sods law that the P2U order turns up. But never mind, I'll just have a months supply in reserve. So I was well stressed out last night.
Then couldnt get a reply from my friend in New York, and was worried incase she'd caught the virus, but thankfully later in the evening she got in touch and is ok.
That lump I was supposed to have scanned kept twinging yesterday, it's not a bad pain but it's not you know it's there. I wish now I'd gone for the scan and not cancelled it. I'll see how it goes over the w/end and if it doesn't stop I'll phone the surgery Monday. The doc did say on phone earlier this week when she rang if I get any problems with it to phone the surgery. I was stupid to cancel the scan, but I was scared to go near the hospital. But now I don't want it to get worse and I end up being carted off in an ambulance, which would be even more of a risk.
I'm fed up really because I've prepared so well for self isolation and so organised now this has happened. I do remember though how it started. I was sat down and leant forward to put my socks on and was at a funny angle and it was like something twanged in my side, it was really painful for a few minutes and eventually eased off. That was about 3 months ago. So I dont think it's related to the lump at all which I'd had for a couple of years and has never been painful or caused any problems and never got any bigger.
It's a bit painful this morning. It was ok when I got up, but now I've been doing a few chores it's playing up again.

Good afternoon all having a lazy day today. Did the washing up and very little else. Sounds like you've got a hernia to me, Hazel. Just don't do any heavy lifting, If you do get any severe pain then it could be strangulated and of course, you will need to go to the hospital. If it was anything serious you'd be dead by now. I still think you were right not to go to the hospital better not to risk infection.
