Re: Good Morning

Good afternoon, a gorgeous day here. Had a lazy morning, Gordon prepared lunch and he is cooking tea, so I'm being spoilt today. Tomorrow it will be my turn to cook. Rather fancy a cottage pie haven't it for ages. We've got lots of fresh veg so it will make a nice change. We've been in isolation for 3 weeks now the time has certainly passed very quickly. If people would only do what they should, it would be over and life could go back to normal.

Re: Good Morning

Good afternoon ladies.

Bootiful day here, I've been pottering gently in the garden taking advantage of the sunshine.

Just sent my order off for my tomato, marrow and cucumber plants, and some new strawberry plants. Most places are sold out of everything now but I managed to get everything. Then checked out my strawberry barrel and it disintegrated when I took it out from behind shed, so had to buy some stacking pots which are plastic and I must say they seem much better, so hopefully they'll come before the plants. Although the plants won't be despatched until May.

Everyone is saying how fast the weeks are flying by at the moment. I think that's a good thing in some ways. I'd hate to be stuck in a flat with no garden at the moment and feel so sorry for those poor souls who are.

Hope Boris gets over this virus. Poor chap.

I cant see people behaving themselves and doing as they're told about staying in. They are totally selfish and couldn't care less about anyone else, typical of most of the millenials these days. Thankfully there are some responsible ones who have stepped up and volunteered and are doing what is wanted. My doctor was saying that she thinks we will probably be in lockdown this time next year, but thinks the Gov may be pushed into relaxing things sooner, and if they do then there will be a second worse wave of infections. Why can't people just accept that its better to stay indoors until the new cases cease. It's not rocket science is it.

Right gonna watch the coronavirus daily update now. Oh dear almost 800 died yesterday. It's not getting any better at the moment.

Re: Good Morning

Good morning everyone.

Its cloudy but dry here. Its feeling very warm and feeling very still. I noticed the stillness yesterday. Almost like the world is taking a deep deep breath.

The Iceland delivery comes this  afternoon. There are    some things missing .. apart from what I couldn't buy from there anyway.     Hey ho ... that''''s normal now.

I'll squeeze a walk in between doing some washing ..    think I've got two lots today.

I've thanking my lucky stars there  only two of us to    shop for and keep entertained and retired so I don't have to worry about a job or mortgage

Re: Good Morning

Good evening all, we had a lazy morning followed by a good lunch. I've spent most of the afternoon in my bedroom putting a huge pile of clean clothes away.  Another pile for tomorrow and then it will I hope be neat and tidy.  Had a disaster this afternoon, I turned the washing machine on and when I released the catch a flood of water came out. It appears that the machine had been filling and somehow it had been turned off at the mains.  The door is a very dark-tinted glass so I was completely unaware! Wasn't a happy bunny.  Had to wash the whole lot again. After I mopped up I could barely stand, so have been sitting down with a hot wheat bag. I've got one more wash to do tomorrow, and that should be it finished for a few days.

Re: Good Morning

Good morning everyone.

Its another lovely day here today.

We've got to squeeze in a walk sometime.

Its amazing how long things are taking to do through the day.

Paul's just nipping out to do his shopping - so he's got the stuff I couldn't get as well.

Re: Good Morning

Good Morning all, another lovely sunny day here. I was listening to a blackbird in my garden this morning he was singing his heart out. It really lifted my spirits. Gordon has been doing an hour a day in the garden. It's beginning to look really good.  My bluebells are in flower, love their perfume. My lilac is in bud and lot's of the shrubs are flowering. It's a lovely season.
Good news Boris is out of intensive care! Hopefully, he will get as much rest as he needs before he throws himself back in his job.  Have a good day all.

Re: Good Morning

Good morning everyone.

I drifted off back to sleep again.

Its another lovely day here with a bit of cloud in the sky.

I think I'll wash some coats. Must fit a walk in sometime.

I changed our duvet over yesterday, so declared summer

Re: Good Morning

Good afternoon all, I've been busy washing up. I cooked a roast last night with all the trimmings and four vegetables. It was delicious but created a huge pile of washing up.  Wasn't feeling too good as I'd been on my feet too much, so left the dishes. I swear it was breeding all night!. I've done half of it. Gordon has finally wiped up and I will finish it off after lunch.  I'm on the second load of washing from the caravan, the first is on the line baking in the heat. My garden is a sun trap and far too hot for me to sit outside. Just one more load and the caravan bedding will be finished. God only knows where it will go until we're able to go down there again. The way things are going I can't see it being this year. Have a good day all.

Re: Good Morning

Good morning everyone.

Its a pleasant enough day here today. Feeling a bit cooler through the open window. But still and quiet.

Happy Easter. A different sort of Easter from other Easters.
