Re: Good Morning

Good Morning all.  Since Brodie was clipped his personality has changed for the better. He's behaving like a puppy and is so affectionate and loving. The real Brodie has finally emerged which is such a joy. Gordon let go of him whilst I was clipping and he just lay there no struggle and no biting! I think he enjoyed the fuss.   I rather think that I will be clipping him on a regular basis providing the vet will give me the pills. It's Gordon's 80th Birthday today we were due to be celebrating with friends which had to be cancelled. Hopefully, the lady who does my shopping will be coming today and I've added a few goodies to my shopping list and got him some books online so he's quite happy.  Have a good day all.

Re: Good Morning

Good  morning everyone

Its very dull here but its dry.

We'll get out for our walk today and I said I'll go up and see Sue later. Trouble is she wants it to be in her back garden and I said sit on the grass area out the front. Her hubby and her are still out in the wider world ... he goes up for his paper each day and gets upto what mischief because if you don't see it, he wont remember to isolate, and I think Sue goes shopping as she used to picking up a few bits in and out .. so I don't think closer contact in the garden is advisable. She has a back gate into the garden but its very small ... we've got a much larger garden but you have to come through the garage.... even Paul doesn't come into the garden. Everything is too much trouble and I don't know why I said I'll see her.

Hubby had a very bad night up and down all night, then saying where is the lad downstairs staying and opening and closing drawers. No good talking to him about it he wont have a clue

Re: Good Morning

Afternoon everyone.

Belated birthday wishes to Gordon, and great news about Brodie.

Diane don't blame you for not wanting to go in the back garden at Sue's, best give them both a wide berth.

Starry as long as you keep yourselves safe I think that's the best way to not worry about other people. I've given up with the neighbour. He's off out and about all over the place every day which stressed me out, and his mother is so stupid she doesnt see he's doing any harm, so I just keep well clear of them both. I felt a bit mean cos I saw her come out on Thursday when we were all clapping and was making her way towards my front garden for a chat I suppose, but the wind was in my direction and I didnt fancy it blowing any germs she might be harbouring my way, so went indoors before she noticed. I sat indoors for ages thinkng how mean I was to do that, but that's the way it is nowadays, self preservation.

Had a totally lazy day today and done absolutely nothing. I've felt really tired the last few days, so it wont do me any harm. I'm amending my asda order tonight, its not due til next sunday. I haven't been able to get plain, self raising and white bread flour since before lockdown so I'm not holding out any hope there. I'll have to buy it from Amazon and pay 4 times as much for it.

I had thought about inviting George over one afternoon, I have a sidegate and we could sit in the garden if the weather was nice, if not I don't know quite how we'd manage as i dont want anyone indoors even with a hazmat suit on. But haven't mentioned it to him, as not made my mind up yet how we'd manage. He'd have to have a mug for his coffee so maybe I could ask him to bring his own mug lol lol lol

What a time we live in!

Re: Good Morning

Hazel our ASDA has sacks of flour and bags and you can weigh it out yourself. Sally didn't think I'd like it from an open sack (she was right you don't know who's coughed over it and they could have the virus.)  First time for ages they had SR flour in bags.  It's almost like winning the lottery.  We finally finished bleaching the delivery from Saturday and yesterday's shopping. Now we've just got to put it all away! That's tomorrow's job. We've both got backache at the moment.   Hazel no need to feel guilty about avoiding your neighbour, in the circumstances, I would have done the same.  If you have George over for a cuppa he might want to use your bathroom which would be awkward.  Stay safe and take care.

Re: Good Morning

Yes Carol I've been thinking about him wanting to use the toilet and even having to bleach the garden chair he sat on, and the cup or whatever he'd touched. Plus walking around on the lawn or paths if he's carrying the virus it might drop off. So much to think about isn't there.

I daresay my local Asda has loose flour too I wouldnt be interested in it for the same reason, someone might have coughed over it. I'm going to have to pay £7 for 1kg from Amazon because there's no way I'm going into Asda to get the flour. I need strong white bread flour, and white self raising and plain flour. Almost out. I've got 5 bags of wholemeal bread flour, but if I make just wholemeal it's not very nice, I prefer it half and half as it comes out fluffier and more tasty.

I suppose I could ask the Bodmin Bikers to get me some lol They did get my salad bags that time.  Or I could ask George to get me some and pick it up from his place outside of course.

Re: Good Morning

Good morning everyone.

Is a lovely day outside.

I was thinking of doing the housework, some washing then a chill.

Re: Good Morning

Good Morning all had a lazy morning after yesterday's hard work.  We're just about to start putting the tins away now. Then I think we'll have a film afternoon. Have a good day all.

Re: Good Morning

Good morning everyone.

Its cloudy and much cooler here today.

We've got a shopping delivery, some washing and Paul is bringing round the petrol for the lawnmower and a paper -- and hopefully some yeast.
I've only got one item missing and that's herb flavoured chopped tomatoes, so that's good. I'd ordered some ordinary chopped tomatoes but couldn't get the quantity I wanted so added the flavoured one to top up. I'm still mindful of a second peak and more shopping trouble ahead so trying to keep my stash stocked up.

Wouldn't it be lovely not to have to think 'virus'

Re: Good Morning

Diane, my cousin said she felt as though she was in a sci-fi film when it first started. It's like living in a never-ending nightmare!  Today we're continuing with cutting Brodie's fur, so far the pills are being slow to work. Have a good day all and stay safe.
