Re: Good Morning

Good morning everyone. Its very frosty here too. Not sure what there day is going to bring. I've backed out of weigh in and I've got a parcel coming today which sold have been delivered yesterday.          We went to a neighbours' Christmas drink yesterday when the parcel was being delivered, so I requested it was delivered to a neighbours,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, but it obviously wasn't   So I need to see what time delivery is today and it looks like it might be this afternoon so wont be able to go to short mat bowls again. But hubby partook of the Christmas spirit too heavily and might be in bed all day anyway. I'm going to have to put him on a lead.

Re: Good Morning

Evening all, a quick late pop in for me.  Been busy for the last few days, making some progress at last, still no where near finished.. My back and knees are playing up  - been on my feet too long. Off to bed soon hopefully to sleep well or better than usual.

Re: Good Morning

Good morning everyone. Its a bright day here today. A quiet day on the cards. I'm pondering whether to do something for Christmas or crochet quietly ... No question which will win.

I think driving anywhere is getting a struggle now Starry if its further than a local hop.

Re: Good Morning

Another busy day for me.  We did intend going down to check the caravan but Gordon had a Doc's appoinment. Once I'd taken him home the day was mine. For some unknown reason I decide to tidy my larder. I saw some boxes of Tassimo pods decided to get them out in doing that I caused a mini avalanche. I couldn't find my little stool so had to bend to pick everything up. By the time I finished I felt dizzy and the bending set my back off.  Had to sit and rest.  Gordon invited me for a stir fry which was kind of him and most welcome. it would have been perfect unfortunately he hadn't been able to get his normal noodles and came back with round hard nests and just added them to the wok.  He should have soaked them in boiling water and they were very chewy to say the least. We had to fish the noodles out as best we could. I went home early cos I was tired.  Just as well I did it was bitterly cold and jack frost had started to arrive.  I let Brodie out just now and there's a heavy frost. Winter has arrived.

Good morning everyone. Its another bright, cold day here today. Lovely to see the blue sky and sun. The cleaners are coming this afternoon. Apart from that a quiet day.

Re: Good Morning

Morning all

Not had any frost here this year I must be lucky. It's not cold either here. Maybe it's because the village is high up and close to both coasts. Who knows lol

It's been manic so far this week, so busy!  Yesterday I had my hair cut, as the girl was back from having her baby, the last time I had it cut was 3 months ago. It was quite long.

I'm busy getting stock finished for the craft fair this saturday. I do hope it's a success. It's been so disheartening the last two in september and june. It's all over Facebook as the Lions have been advertising it on there which is good.
I put a picture of my pocket bears on Twitter, and sold 5 straight off, so had to sit up til 11pm one night to make 5 more to replace them. They seem very popular. They'll be going on my shop after Saturday.

I've got 3 fur fairies to make someone's ordered from my shop, they'll be going to Finland I think can't remember now, either there or Norway. lol I won't start those until after the w/end as I have too much on preparing for Saturday.

Dani, Angela let me down twice in 2 months not 2 years. Oh and she let me down when I had a cancer scare last year and had to go to hospital for a scan and asked if she'd go with me. She wouldnt, and made some excuse about her husband being home that day, so a Twitter friend from north Somerset drove down to go with me. Angela seems to live in her own bubble, and if anything happens to Paul her hubby, she will find she has no friends at all and that's not a nice place to be, I speak from experience. All my friends are online ones but I do meet them occasionally which is nice, and if I ever needed them I know I could depend on them.

The only thing I'm worried about Saturday is putting all the tables out in the right positions, some will be out from the night before but not in the right places but at least they'll be erected. They're quite heavy to drag around on your own. She didnt even offer to come over to give me a hand with that, and last time in September when I said I'd have to struggle with the tables on my own she said 'oh I'd forgotten about putting the tables out, still maybe there will be someone there that can give you hand'.

She asked me the same day she said she wouldnt be coming this Saturday if I could recommend any other craft fairs she could go to. Flaming cheek.

Sorry to drone on about it, I'm still angry with her.

Well must go, I got 3 flower fairies to make before I pack my fish bowl gifts up. Incase you're all wondering, basically it's a fish bowl with white tinsel in the bottom, then 2 glass baubles, one shaped like a champagne glass and one like a bottle of champagne, with 8 Ferrero Roche chocolates around the bottom, and a flower fairy dangling from the edge of the fish bowl as if she's trying to climb out. They look amazing. I just hope that there are people to buy them. I've also done another hamper like I made for someone's Golden Wedding Anniversary which is a pretty pink and gold oblong storage box, filled with thick dusty pink tinsel, with some gold tinsel mixed in, and then a large golden bottle of Prosecco with a bottle hugger fairy around the neck of the bottle, plus a large gold box of chocolates. The chocolates are from Fort Worth, California and each chocolate is almost as big as a cupcake. It will be quite expensive to buy, £40, but everything is reusable and it would make a stunning present for someone, as would the smaller fish bowl gifts.

I'll try and get some pics on here. Not sure where to put them to link to here though. It's a pity Photobucket isnt free anymore.

Re: Good Morning

Hello everyone. Its a dry day here so far. Just popped into Bodmin to collect hubby's prescription then food shopping on the way back. A phone call and a quick pick up with the taxi so that worked well. Hubby's been very grumpy today ... I told him I would shop on my own and he could stay at home (and be grumpy on his own under my breath!! ... and I could have nipped into the pub for a quick one before the food shopping) but he wanted to come with me so then it was a scurry to get to the chemist while the pharmacist was there so I could collect his meds. But I did.  So then I definitely didn't fancy going to the pub with him. Then he caused a traffic jam in Lidl getting in the way of everyone and blocking up. I'm shaking my head thinking I don't want him here either. Then when we get to the till I'm unloading and loading back up and he usually does it with me helping. I'd be better on my own. I've got another shop coming tomorrow from Morrisons online as well.
