Re: Good Morning

Good morning everyone, it's going to be 29C here today they said on Radio Cornwall, I 've just come in from watering the garden and the garden thermometer was ready 25C already. So I think we'll probably be over 30C this afternoon. Tomorrow is to be hotter eeekk... So glad I invested in my air conditioning system. It's on already to keep it cool in the living room.

I'm busy doing mask orders, had another order in for 6 last night, and someone else who had already bought 11 has ordered another 2. I'm having to go full belt to get them made and sent out, thank God for Royal Mail's new click and send system. I can buy postage online print the labels and just drop them in a normal post box. Godsend!

CAROL check out my previous post about your masks please. It could just save your life.

Enjoy your day everyone! Keep safe!

Re: Good Morning

It will get worse Sally, Scotts opens on the 4th along with all other sites I'm not sure if or when we're coming down this year.  Brodie has a serious lung disease and isn't doing well in the heat and it will be even hotter in the van. We might come down when it gets cooler and not so crowded. we'd rather stay safe than take a chance. It's stinking hot today, I hung the washing out about half an hour ago and it's dry already. It will be another hot sticky night oh joy! Stay safe.
A merciful release for your cousin out he's finally at peace.

Re: Good Morning

Good morning all. Off to the vets for 9.30 with Gizmo for his Xray on his tumour. I'm hoping it won't be as bad as I think it will be, but have told the vet if she finds anything that needs surgery or more tumours to put him to sleep as it's not fair to put him through prolonged pain, besides his heart couldn't stand general aneastheetic so if that is the diagnosis the poor old chap won't be coming home today.

Another stonking hot day here, have opened the car windows already so it's not like getting into an oven, and the air con is on now indoors to keep it cool. I watered the garden last night as well as yesterday morning, so the containers with my veg in and the runner beans should survivie the heat. Sadly my young foxglove plants I'd grown from seed were burnt to a crisp yesterday even tho they were in the shade from midday onwards. pffft

Stay cool and stay safe ladies! xxx

Re: Good Morning

Good morning everyone.

Its another beautiful day here. The rain and thunder is beginning to move into the Scilly Isles so not sure how long it will take to get here.

Some more washing to do and an online shopping delivery in the middle of the day.

We'll be sitting in the complete shade again. It got up to 28 degrees in the shade yesterday which is very hot for down here.

I've got some fruit and veg being delivered today and now its not so warm could be a chance to catch up with the housework

I do hope they get on top of this mass meetings wherever they are. They do need sorting

Re: Good Morning

Good morning all, the storm missed us last night, so no rain.  Today started off sunny but has clouded over and with the strong wind it is thankfully cooling down.  I spoke too soon the sun is burning through the cloud. Gordon's quarantine ended yesterday and he's rejoined me.  The newly tidied lounge is now littered with his clothes, medications and his dirty washing. He couldn't access the laundry at the flats.  He's been detailed off to get his washing on which is a huge bag full. I've almost finished the washing up and have to sit down to ease my back. Since lockdown and not getting any exercise, we both find we get breathless and tired more easily. However, I have now lost 5lbs and every little helps. Have a good day all.

Re: Good Morning

Good morning everyone.

Its cloudy here and the ground is very wet. I think I heard some heavy rain and wind in the night a few times. Think rain is forecast for most of the day.

I had a shock when I realised its Lola's birthday next weekend and haven't got anything in for her at all. Argos pinged an email over to say they are having a sale, and I've got her presents being delivered this afternoon. Phew! Job done. Just have to make a birthday card. There will no little extras that I usually grab when I'm out and about, but that's how it is now.

The baby squirrel is having its breakfast.

Re: Good Morning

Good morning everyone.

It seemed a brighter day when I first opened my eyes but its clouded over now.

Not sure what the day will bring yet. Need to do weigh in first then breakfast, then think.
