Afternoon all. It's stinking hot here My north facing lounge is 29 degrees. I dread to think what it's like in the front of the bungalow. I did the washing up this morning in my new sauna, otherwise known as the kitchen I was melting. I'm in a nightie it's the coolest thing I've got, I keep three of them just for hot days.  We've had the excitement of a delivery this morning and we'v got a pile of post to open this afternoon. Gordon is seeing to lunch and he's also doing a stir fry tonight so no cooking for me.   He's being very kind as my knee has kicked off again and I can barely stand. Have a good day all.
 

Good Morning all, another hot day here and no breeze.  Last night was a nightmare Brodie was panting badly thought I was going to have take him to the emergency vet.  Thankfully, I store his cool mattresses in the garage in an old fridge and was able to cool him down. I kept the fan on him all night and for once he was happy to stay in front of it. He's fine today so far.  His Westie lung disease is almost under control but he coughs a lot more in the heat.. Our local amateur weather forecaster says it's going to last until next Thursday!  I do hope he's wrong. Have a good day all and stay safe.

 

Good Morning all It's stinking hot already here. Had very little sleep last night my bedroom was like an oven.  My single sheet was up and down like a yoyo. Brodie slept in front of his fan which he normally hates, between the fan and his cool matress he was comfortable. My next door neighbour is having work done so far we've had a pheumatic drill and stone cutter in use and clouds of dust. Is it a new drive or is it a patio no doubt we will find out soon. It's a patio.
I've got some washing up to do but kitchen is far too hot for me to go into. I also need to sort out my large larder Gordon cooked last night and pulled the larder apart and the stuffed things back in. Tyical man, he didn't ask me. You can imagine the utter chaos, all five shelves need sorting out. He has offered to do the job but then I wont know where anything is.  Have a good day all  and remember stay safe.

Good afternoon all, another stinking hot day with a gentle breeze. I got up early to wash up it was good to get it done whilst it was cool.. Gordon had a fall this morning, he was a bit shaken up and jarred his neck, otherwise he was OK he said. I know he's in pain as he's Mr Grumpy today but typical man - wont admit it. Think I might tidy my bedroom this afternoon and leave him sleeping.
 

We finally had some rain overnight, not a lot just enough to settle the dust. The promised storms didn't materialise. Gordon is doing lunch and I'm going to be sorting out my bedroom.  I've lots of clothes to put away a job I loathe doing. I've loaded up the washing machine so Gordon will take it out to the garage to tumble dry it and bring it back in to put away.  I haven't told him yet! Have a good day all.
