Well ASDA delivery was a fiasco today. The drivers handheld gadget wasn't working so anything handed back couldnt be put thru as a refund and I had to do it online. Well usually it would have worked but the website was showing my order as not delivered so I couldn't apply for refunds. pffft. Just phoned customer support at 9.30pm and spoke t someone in God knows where and the system's still not working properly so been advised to try the website tomorrow and if it's still not working phone customer support again. I wouldn't worry but this week I have 4 subs that weren't acceptable and several items that were out of date, prawns, for instance, and other stuff, and some damaged things too. Last week was perfect no subs and nothing wrong. So I need to get refunded as it's just under £15 they owe me.
Apart from that everything's ok. Got my new wool double bed duvet, will take the king size one to the dry cleaner's and sell it as it's far too big for my double bed. I thought my polyester one that was on the bed was a 4.5 but when I took it off to wash it I noticed it's a 10.5. Can't even remember buying that size tog one. Once it's washed and dried I'll put it away or take it to the charity shop.
The weather's changing next week, going to get colder they say, well I've felt cold the last few weeks, must be old age. lol

How is your mother doing Starry

Oh Starry. It’s so hard for you. Do take care. I hope Pippa receives her normal good care and is soon home again. It must be hard watching your mum and knowing the end is near. I hope her time is comfortable

Afternoon everyone.
Starry I can only echo Diane and hope that your dear mum's journey is as peaceful as it can be. It is a horrible horrible situation you and your family are in, but it will give your mum great comfort to have her family around her at this time and that is all you can say really. Sending you lots of love and a gentle virtual hug.
I hope Pippa is home again by now and more comfortable. What a terrible time you are going through this last few months.
On a brighter note, we have sunshine again today but it's bitter cold out, or at least feels that way to me. On Sunday Chloe and I went to The Rock Inn, in the village here, for Sunday Lunch. The new owners have worked wonders on the place and it's beautiful, a proper old Cornish pub and the food was exceptional, cooked to perfection. I had Roast Beef and Chloe had the Turkey. The veg was perfectly cooked. The price was brilliant too, £10.95 for a large carvery. We both had sticky toffee pudding and clotted cream for afters, which played havoc with me near perfect blood sugars for a couple of days, but it was well worth it. lol
I'm enjoying a good night's sleep now under my sheep wool duvet, and not had to have the heated mattress cover on all night for my hips. So saved a few pence there, and I wake up with hardly any aches and pains. They have a Black Friday offer on at the moment with 35% discount off their products so I ordered a pair of sheep wool pillows. I needed new ones anyway but couldnt afford the wool ones before so I was pleased to get the discount I ordered them yesterday and they arrived this morning by DPD. I've got a link if anyone's interested to give an additional 10% to use and add my name at Check out. So that would be 45% discount if used now.
Just going out to get the little robot going to cut the lawn. It takes him about 7 hours to do the big lawn at the back and saves me doing it with the big mower.
Enjoy your day as best you can and keep warm!

Good morning everyone.
Its a bright but chilly day here.
I've just got washing and housework on the cards.

Afternoon everyone.
Dry but cold here. The heating is going on and off like a yo yo. I've got my flu jab at 3 but not sure where it is, either Dennison Rd or Stillmore. Can't phone to ask as they're not open on Saturdays for calls pffft. If they stuck to having one surgery for jabs and the other for face to face appointments it would be easy but they keep swopping around so you never know where to go. So I'll go to Stillmore first then have to come out of that car park and drive over to the Carnwater surgery and try there. pffft.
Hope everyone's having a decent day. xxx

oooh quiet in here
Morning all. I'm off to lunch at one of the village pubs today, same one as last week. Food is the best of the two pubs in my opinion. Then nothing much on all afternoon.
Had a weird dream last night and I woke up twice during it and it continued when I went back to sleep each time. There were huge cylindrical or bullet shaped UFO's going over in pairs once or twice a day and people were pointing at them not knowing what they were. And I wasn't watching one of the UFO TV channels last night either lol
I was relieved to see we hadn't been invaded overnight.
